a friend i was talking to recently expressed mild disbelief about the very real happenstance of us holding prom in a castle on the moon last year
which i assure those of you who havent been here that long was definitely a thing that happened and was awesome
and now that weird shit seems to be happening regularly again
(guess even chaotic neutral pokegods sometimes hibernate through the winter maybe)
i thought i might put a minisurvey to yall in the interests of preparing folks for what futures might come
so
here we go

Well, that time I got swarmed by Pokemon who were observing our house like they were on a goshdarned stakeout is definitely on the top of the list.
Did Jade tell you about that?
I literally have a metal soldier stalker who's been trailing me back and forth from the grocery store for the past couple of weeks and he doesn't do anything but STARE...and sometimes take offerings of cookies out of my hands.

But he hasn't done any harm! And Dinah always goes out of her way to greet him when we see him.
I'd try catching him, but...that might be a problem.
When I scanned him with the Pokedex, it said he already had a previous trainer.
And that trainer was apparently me.
So...I don't...know how to work with that.

All right, let's see.

Aside from how every May and November there's time that you can only half remember where weird, bothersome crap always happens. And how I keep getting buried in squishy creatures during those, some of which I swear aren't even Pokemon.

Something always seems to happen at the end of October, too. Twice people have gotten possessed by ghost Pokemon, and there was that one time we were all trapped in some kind of nightmarish castle thing. The weirdest was probably the Pokemon that showed up that were like a bunch of them mixed together. And us people kind of got mixed with Pokemon too, somehow? It was weird.

A few years back, there were a bunch of Shedinjas that went around stealing people's souls, because while normal ones won't do that, I guess these were experiments that were trying to make their Pokedex entry true or something. Never did get any answers about where all of that came from.

Another time, a lot of people got sick, and then they kind of developed powers for a while? And Pokemon traits. This was different from the Halloween one, earlier. No explanation for that one, either.

And another time after that, it was literally raining Espurrs one day. That was the first time anyone had ever heard of them, because of course every few years a whole new batch shows up from a region that's never been mentioned before but has supposedly been around this whole time, because nobody can keep any accurate maps around here I guess.

On top of that, Ponyta still confuse the hell out of me, but they're less of a happening and more of a species.

And that's not even getting into how weird my own team can get.

ON PANdora the stingy gun merchant accidentally saved MErcenary DAy.
WE met a blind zombie man and gave him brain candy.
THe INVincible WATtle GObbler was easier to kill than advertised.
A GUy who called us rivals fell down the stairs and died before we could fight.

Sure, we've had MISSINGNO. pop up since, but this was back when everything was still new. It came outta nowhere and threw everyone off guard.
