Who: Shark House (plus visitors!) Where: Shark House When:Shark House All through December Summary: Catch-all log for December! Rating: PG-13 because this house has a pottymouth Log: ( ooc:Starters in the comments below! )
[Christmas is a rather odd holiday for Alphonse. His introduction to it had been here in Johto, and while he understands that it holds an extra meaning for those whose worlds (or times) have the holiday as well, for him it's just an excuse to spoil family and friends and enjoy a good meal.]
[But right now the 'meal' part is becoming a bit of a problem.]
[With three pots on the stove and five recipes littered around the kitchen for reference, Al has his hands full trying to make an honest-to-goodness home-cooked meal for the house. It had taken an hour of stubborn refusal before Al relented and let Envy into the kitchen as an assistant, and Wrath had been allowed in soon after once the puppy-dog eyes had kicked in. It's quickly becoming a bit of a madhouse, and not just because they have maybe three-fourths of a decent chef between the three of them.]
Wrath, no, don't lick it! It hasn't even been cooked yet, you'll get sick!
[Envy is still...learning how to cook, but one thing he's always been good at is knifework.]
[He has a good sized pile of chopped carrots over to the side of him, and he looks up and rolls his eyes at Al's scolding of Wrath. Mainly just because rolling his eyes at Al no matter what he's doing is force of habit rather than because there's anything else he could be doing. Still...the fact that Envy holding a large knife in the same room as Alphonse without anybody worrying about murder is...pretty significant.]
Hey, Wrath. Wanna see me chop those up like the fancy grill chef from TV yesterday?
[SINCE NOW THEY'VE BEEN LICKED, THEY HAVE TO CUT THE LICKED PARTS OFF.]
[Although Envy deciding to become an impromptu hibachi chef might come with its own drawbacks.]
[Al casts Envy a look that's half frustration and half concern, already imagining all the ideas he's going to have to talk Wrath out of attempting--it was hard enough getting him to leave the knives to Envy in the kitchen!]
You're going to cut off a finger doing it like that!
Oh, please. Maybe you would, but I'm actually good with knives.
[Alphonse's voice of reason goes SPITEFULLY UNAPPRECIATED as Envy takes out a few of the steak tips that hadn't just been licked, tossing them onto the "meat" cutting board--if nothing else, France had impressed upon him the need to keep raw meat separate from vegetables--and starts going at them with the knife much more showily than he needs to. All he knows about "fancy grill cooking" is literally what he saw on TV the day before, so he's just kind of. Doing what he remembers seeing there.]
[His fingers stay intact for now, thankfully, but it may or may not stay that way for long.]

[Wrath drops the package on the counter (WASH THEM WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE, AL) and hops in place a couple of times, grinning.]
