It's a shame Walter doesn't have a choice in this. Team Rocket chose him. They gave him his Pokemon. They made their threats clear.
Ander's fist connects and for the second time in Johto, Walter is knocked back by a punch he saw coming. But he doesn't fight back. He tries to hold back Anders' punches but he doesn't actually try to hit him back. Like he's accepting it? Why would a Rocket do that?
Joseph doesn't appreciate the Sucker Punch and decides to show Flop how it's done. After being shaken off, he redirects his anger on Flop, intending to get him out of the fight so he can deal with Anders without interruption. He draws back from Flop's attack as if reeling, before throwing himself forward. Hope you were taking notes Flop!
