Ralph ducked his head and dragged his fingers through his hair.

"I'm late on my quota...haven't been able to sleep a wink this weekend." He didn't really think it would help to add that he didn't know it was Joker when he'd initially decided to mug somebody. If it hadn't been Joker, it would have been some poor sucker. "I don't know where to start."

He stared at the sawdust between his feet.

"Back when you asked me to join, I wasn't stealing. I was still tryin' to be a Good Guy. I was just the laundry boy. But I couldn't take it anymore. It wasn't what I was made to do, so I sucked it up and started doing the job. And I'm good at it." He wrinkled his nose in disgust. "Naturally."
