Awkard Times in Violet City [action/text]

[If you are around Violet City you might have spotted a certain boy in a bowlcut just circling around the city's Gym for the past, what, 3 days now? He just walks around it, clearly trying to take a peek through the windows but never really going in. While he does so, he looks positively nervous, if his quick quick, anxious steps are anything to go by.

Is this boy planning something bad? He is acting super weird, that's for sure, with the way his eyebrows furrow every time he tries to see what's going on inside the building through the windows.

Well, if you don't approach him, you are probably going to catch him later trying to hide behind a bush near the Gym and typing something on his Pokegear.]

I heard some stuff about the Violet Gym leader
That he's supposed to be a Bug Pokémon expert of sorts
Just how good is he?
And does anyone here ever had conversations with those gym leaders?
Like can you just go in and talk to them without having to battle?
