[Noctis pauses before he gets too far, frowning some as he avoids making direct eye contact with his 'gear. He's clearly embarrassed about something if that faint blush staining his cheeks is any indication and he's doing his best to not let it get to him.

And clearly failing.]

So yesterday was a little weird. Not..a bad weird. Just weird.

[Understatement.]

Yeah. So I...my Pokemon decided to leave me a whole bunch of eggs over night so if anyone wants some post Valentine's Day gifts, let me know? I have a list I can attach.

[He glances at the 'gear briefly before fiddling with it, attaching the file for all to access.]

I'm really sorry for how stupid I acted yesterday. I--it's not that I--I mean I...I do like you I just--that was.....I don't know what the hell got into me.

Come now, Noct. I saw you looking quite dapper on your way to see Ash. Do confirm that it went as well as we all hoped.

[ WELL. Yesterday sure happened. Throughout the day he'd been torn between joy and affection and...well, being utterly bemused at how flamboyant and forward Noctis was being. He couldn't put his finger on what it was but, it'd ended up being a good day. Just a little strange.

It seemed like some of his Pokemon either had been in full favour of their date, such as , and others found the pair of them kind of hilarious. Such as Macavity, who is juuuust out of frame to hide his giggles as Ash answered sheepishly. ]

I mean. I had a good time! You were acting a bit out of it, but like. I dunno how to put it into words. But damn, ya really knew how to surprise a guy for Valentines. My plan had been to maybe tell ya how I felt and grab lunch and hang out.

...so, you did mean it about dating after that, right? It wasn't just for Valentines or completely brought on by a Pokemon doing something or whatever happened? Cos, I was completely honest about intending to ask you out myself when you turned up at the door.

[Any other time Noctis may have some sort of retort or may be up for just talking with Ignis in general but...]

I don't really want to talk about it.

[Oh, that's okay. Carbuncle had already heckled Noctis quite a bit once the prince had slept off his crazy love filled state and his other Pokemon had, in turn, gotten in on it as well.

It had been a hell of a morning.

Still, he can't help but smile softly, bashfully as he chuckles and ducks his head.]

Yeah I..I wish I knew what the hell was up with me yesterday but I don't. But it--I meant it. All of it. How I feel about you, wanting to date you..it's..that just wasn't how I meant to tell you.

[That had been far more showy than Noctis ever wanted to be.]

[ Most of Ash's sheepishness had come from yesterday, partly from it being the start of their relationship and partly cos he was definitely not used to such grand displays of affection and charm. Now he was back to his usual, confident, easy going self. ]

I mean, if you want you could tell me again. But the answer's still 'yes', no matter how ya put it.

Dahlia will be around later, as a forewarning, she is dropping a basket of Poffins off before we head out.

[ Macavity popped up, tail wagging eagerly and jumping up to Ash's side. HE APPROVES! ]

[ He ends the call there, seeing no reason to continue the awkward lack of conversation. He understood why. There was no purpose in lingering. ]

[He can't help but laugh now, a happy, lighthearted sound as Carbuncle suddenly jumps on his shoulder, twilling and yipping happily.]

Good. I'd be pretty bummed if you changed your mind.

Seems to be yesterday's theme.

...I serenaded the guy I like with songs from Moulin Rouge.

No way. [ He shook his head, as Macavity trilled back to his brother and nuzzled into Ash ]

So er, how much of yesterday was brought on by...something? [ It's both a question of 'seriously what happened' and 'what had been Noctis and what had been Noctis on some kind of...love-high?' ] I know the feelings were real but I mean. Some of it seemed a bit. Different. Ya know?

Kissed my best friend. In the ocean. My pokemon threw rose petals.

Apparently we both turned into sappy romantic movie cliches.

Think we're ever going to live this down?

Depends on if there's video proof or not.

I'm more worried about the other people remembering.

[And cue Noctis blushing.]

So, ah...I might have watched a movie the night before and I think that might have been the reason why I acted the way I did? Because of that movie, I mean. Because I--ah--normally...I'm not that good. Smooth. Anything. Ever.

Yeah but them remembering just means they can talk about it here and there.

If they have video or pictures, the proof lasts forever.

Yeah you ur. You don't really burst into song all that often either. That's more my thing. [ Seriously, the song. Your Song. That had been hard to recover from his shock for the rest of the day. ]

What movie was it? I knew the song but, I can't think of a movie it's in.

I'm not seeing how them talking about it is less bad.

It's called Moulin Rouge. I'd never heard of it before I came here but it was on tv so I watched it and apparently liked it enough that romantic me decided that was how I was going to win you over.

Moulin Rouge...I think I've heard of that. But I've never seen it. I just thought that you somehow had Elton John in your world too, which was really weird.

[ Of all the artists in his world, he would have thought David Bowie was the one to exist in multiple dimensions to be honest. Not Elton John. ]

I can't promise that I won't ever mention it again...but, it'll be just between us. Our little secret, yeah?

Well. We can hope that happens, at least.

I have no idea who Elton John is but I'm guessing he's got something to do with that song I sang?

[God he'd really sung a song in front of Ash and a bunch of other people inside a restaurant this was horrible.

He can't help but laugh lightly, rolling his eyes in mock exasperation.]

And hey, don't worry. I won't be breaking out the guitar over a dinner, but I'll probably do something just as daft. Or you know, I've done plenty of stuff that is just as daft already.

Hey, none of it's daft. Everything you do is pretty great in my opinion.

[ He could make a pit for himself by pointing out his various stupid past actions...but nah. He's not that stupid. That said, he can't help smiling and raising an eyebrow. ]
