I mean in my experience you can't go wrong with Olivine. The amount of options in that town is staggering. And some of the best seafood in Johto.
But each town has a few little gems here and there. Like in Kanto Pewter city has these restaurants that they built specifically to get a great view of the mountains. Dining in a beautiful setting makes the food digest better or something?
I'm guessing the islands have their own awesome food. When we were there for that big party a few months back the room service was top notch.
I honestly thought I was in better shape for travel. Turns out acrobatics and sprinting around doesn't prepare you for hiking. Thankfully one of the first pokemon I caught was a Ponyta.
