While Murder Chicken jumps off the wall to impact with the Pumpkaboo King, and Slag Stack joins in after with its Sludge Bomb, Annie keeps herself and Lute out of the way. Arlert swoops to Peck at a pumpkaboo that gets too close, and Lute likewise defends Annie with a Quick Attack while she simultaneously kicks another pumpkaboo back. It flies backward and ends up smacking into one of the smaller Shadow Balls thrown by another pumpkaboo.
"Perish!" she calls out to Lute, who breathes in and begins singing, an almost haunting melody that earns the attention of some nearby pumpkaboo. The Pumpkin King radiates even more black and purple mist, slowly bobbing and twisting to look toward the sound of the singing.
"Confusion!" is her next cry, Arlert calling out and flapping her wings as she sends the attack at the Pumpkin King. It interrupts the formation of another Shadow Ball, the Pumpkaboo King shuddering and reforming the Shadow Ball within moments. The smaller pumpkaboo around it start following its lead, dividing their targets; between Annie calling out to Lute for him to Dance again and hits with Night Slash, mowing through a series of pumpkaboo and leaping over a small Shadow Ball sent flying his way. Arlert comes in with Peck again and again, before being knocked down by a smaller Shadow Ball, falling toward Slag Stack.
