I started playing when I was in the 6th grade, so... counting the time I've been here, 8 years?

It was actually kind of late to be picking up an instrument. Most virtuosos start off as soon as they can understand basic theory, so like, 4 or 5 years old? But I was 12, so I don't have the same polished technique that a lot of my peers have.
