Actually about that! As it turns out you can't die in this dimension! If you're close to death, you will just wake up back at at Pokemon Center fully healed.

Of course I've only had other people say this to me, so I don't know if their words hold any water, but I guess you won't have to worry about dying from hypothermia! Just the effects of it.
