So... congrats to all the winners, I watched from the television. Sorry I couldn't make it to all of my friends...

But I'm sick.

Guess who has PokeWalk? This girl.

Don't come to visit, I'm highly contagious. Doctor said to stay home. All my kids are quarantined too. We've been sick all month. Groceries are left at my door, so we're actually being fed.

Sorry for the radio silence. But I don't think ANYONE wanted to see me in between moments of losing my breakfast, lunch and supper.

They do say that what is worth doing, is worth doing well. Still, such devotion is truly impressive. I'd certainly not have the patience for it.

That's true, I did spend ten years on a single production before I called it quits. But I called it quits on my own terms, so I need to really stand by my own convictions too.

Would it have been possible for you to not quit on your own terms? It's not as if they can force you to create at sword's point.

You'd be surprised. While they don't force you to create at sword-point anymore, publishers and popularity polls influence the way a manga is produced. The way I was going, I could have continued the manga for another ten years because my manga was so successful, and the demand was there. And the publishers were demanding more.

But, I put my foot down, and I cut it off before I went further with it.

Would they have been able to make someone else continue it, or to impose penalties upon you for stopping? I imagine that would depend on contracts and their official policies...

Oh no, they couldn't make someone else continue it, but there could be penalties if I ended my contract too soon. At least the way I did it, I was able to end my contract with the publisher amicably.

An excellent idea, if there's ever the slightest chance you might work with them again. Burned bridges are very difficult to rebuild, after all.

Yeah, and my manager is a sweetheart. He's looked out for me for the longest time. And I plan to work with him again if I ever return home.

I'm certain he'd be very happy to do so again. He must have truly believed in your talent from the start, after all.

Yeah he did. I wonder what he's doing right now...

Perhaps he's patiently waiting to hear from you again? Though he might have to wait for some time still...

I hope he's not just waiting for my call like some kind of schoolgirl though.

It'd be rather worrisome, if he had the time to do so. Surely he managed multiple people?

He did, but I guess after ten years, he's become like a father to me. It's kind of hard to let things go, you know?

I can imagine. When you assist someone as they make their dreams come true, through their joys and sorrows... Not getting attached is impossible.

Yeah, I do miss him. He was a huge part of my life for a long time. And it's not like we're not friends still, he'll always be there for me.

I just miss him.

Perhaps he'll someday visit you during one of those busy weekends? They do tend to attract a wide variety of people, after all.

I kind of hope so, it would be nice to see him again.

And also to show him the results of your work in this world?

Yeah, yeah I think so. Show him how much I've progressed again. Moving forward.
