It's probably good he figures that out at some point.

"Ugh, of course. You know I never thought I'd run into a place that had too many mysteries. And I don't think they're all connected so that rules that out."

He needs more clues and something to focus his attention on.

"I wonder if there's a mystery behind why the people here don't care. Or if it really is just as boring as, they're all just not interested in figuring mysteries out."
