[At this point, Armin is willing to put himself through any one of Annie's imposed trainings, if it means getting little scraps of knowledge. For every question that Annie answers (if she answers) three new ones appear, and Armin has never been the sort who could just let forbidden knowledge rest. He knows it won't make a lick of difference, not really. He won't remember it if he ever goes home, and it doesn't really affect things here, but he still wants to know. If only so he can understand what had happened better, why Annie and her accomplices (whoever those might be) had chosen to act as they did, and what Eren was.

When Annie mentions her fee, it takes him a bit by surprise. A pleasant surprise. Far easier to dig through cookbooks and pick the minds of cooks such as Bertolt and miss Botan than to force himself to run for miles. If Annie wants good food in return for her answers, he'll bring her enough food to make even Sasha nod on in satisfaction.]

I can do that. Though I am a little surprised.

[The smile he gives her is more genuine, one that slips onto his face without him even realising it. It's the sort of smile he might have given her during their trainee days.]

You don't seem the type to have a sweet tooth.

[It is kind of cute. Makes her seem more like a regular girl.]
