Of course Shimizu is a perfect specimen of a Lapras-- He was cared for by a very loving trainer, who also happened to be good friends with one of the biggest Lapras experts in the region! He was fed an exacting diet, given plenty of exercise, and even had his shield polished every now and again. He looked like a show Pokemon... Which was to be expected of any of Kazuki's team.

Shumizu looked over his back at Armin and cried again, pleased to be getting pets. He had an especially musical cry, and a soft, intelligent look in his eye. He had gotten rather large, hasn't he? He could remember back when he was still smaller than Kazuki!
