[ The video opens from an angle, filming what looks like a film crew and a man wearing a very large cravat talking with Annie. Both faces can be seen from the side. ]

So get this, [ he says, lifting his hands. ] you start out by seeing everyone's bare feet—

[ Annie stares at him, unblinking. The man's smile fixes in place, and he continues on. ]

Then you see their bare legs—

[ Annie continues staring without blinking. Determined, the man goes on. ]

Then you see bare everything from the legs up, and then their faces—

[ Annie stares, her eyes narrowing. ]

Before at last you step out, naked, and—

[ She holds up a hand, cutting him off. ]

When they said this was going to be a dating show, I didn't realise they really meant pornography. A young woman like me might take offense.

[ The man waves his hands, shaking his head. ]

No, no, no! It's not pornography, it's art! There's no touching invol—

[ His voice is cut off as Annie moves forward, her quick throw of the man landing him on his back on the ground with Annie placing one knee on the middle of his chest. His arms are held overhead. He's breathless, wheezing a little, eyes wide from what whites can be seen by the camera, which floats closer. ]

To hell with art. Contact me when you have a real proposal.

[ She pushes up to her feet, dusting herself off with a look of irritation still on her face. Her eyes flit to the camera, then to the one holding it. ]

Turn it off, Fritz. Now.

It would never fly here. I've already been arrested once for just sparring with a friend too close to the public. They really don't understand fighting that doesn't involve pokemon.

[Also you and Krieg looked and sounded like you were going to kill each other.]

I've mostly stuck with books. I like those, they were rare back home. And I've been here for around six months at this point. How long have you been here?

Oh, there's some places they do, but no... not in general. Violence confuses people here. Meanwhile what registers as violent can be confusing to everyone not from here.

[ Pokemon attacks are pretty damn violent, and if one travels sans pokemon, they're the target. ??? World. ]

The libraries here are nice. Similar thing for me back home... not many books approved for anyone to see. And I've been here about ten months now? More or less.

[ She was sent back home to learn absolutely nothing for a week, but that's neither here nor there. ]

I'll have to keep an eye out for those places. Confusing is a certainly a word for it. Some pokemon attacks are quite strong, but apparently they never count as too violent.

That sucks. I had access to more when I was a kid. The last planet I was on, they were just really rare. Everyone's too busy spending money on guns and the like.

Considering things like "climbing ledges on your own" aren't possible here, I take the whole fighting for training being thought of as an act of violence with a few grains of salt. Worst comes to worst, pick a meadow outside of the cities or town.

Yeah, that's what we've been doing.

[They can't arrest what they don't see.]

Space travel is somewhat common where I'm from. I've only been on two for long though. Athenas and Pandora.

Ah, you're from one of those dimensions. I know it's possible, it just seems incredible to me even now.

[ She shakes her head, thinking about stars as destinations and not just distant, cold observers to a landscape of lives below. ]

It's you and... Krieg, right?

[ As far as the "we" making sure to find appropriate venues to fight in. She remembers seeing a woman like Maya when she met up with Krieg right after 'waking up.' When she'd been so angry, frustrated, and helpless, all she wanted was to move. ]

It really depends on what planet you end up on. Some are easier then others to get off of.

[She spent so much time reading about Pandora before she was ever able to go there.]

Me and Krieg. I've been travelling with him since I met him back on Pandora.

It only made sense to continue travelling together here.

That anyone can is a marked difference from my world.

[ Where in what she tells others, they don't even know if there are populations of humans beyond the limit of the third Wall. ]

He's an interesting guy. Traveling with people here isn't a bad idea either... has to be less chaotic than Pandora, from what I understand.

[It does exist after all. Even if you are prevented from using it.]

You could triple the random pokemon attacks and this place would still be less chaotic then Pandora.

I haven't gone this long without someone trying to kill me since I left the Abbey.

Keeps you on edge, doesn't it? Even when that's backwards. Or so I've found.

[ A pause. ]

Where are you and Krieg heading at the moment?

It's a hard mindset to break out of. It feels almost dangerous to try. As if the moment I do, there will be things trying to kill me again.

[Thank you lying monks and also Pandora.]

We're looking around Cerulean at the moment. I've been interested in Mt. Moon as well.

Mt. Moon's worth spending time at... if you're heading that way, I might be able to meet up with the both of you. If you'd be interested in sparring with another partner for a period of time.

I'm sure we can work something out.

And I'm always interested in another sparring partner. The more practise, the better.
