John has been helping out the monks with cooking, sure, but he's also been wandering around with Adagio his Gogoat and Tripp his Mudbray, trying to help out with any heavy lifting or transport that might be required. (Adagio is not helping with the lifting, she's feeling a bit under the weather and John wants to keep an eye on her.)

Meanwhile, Alice his Altaria and Tess his Dragonite have been flying intermittent circuits near and around the town on sentry. None of them are experts at this but they are all trying VERY hard.
