And, well, a lot of the things that your time sees as perfectly legal and fine aren't in my time. Like... in my lifetime we went from just having sex with people of the same sex being illegal in most places to same-sex marriage being... actually a thing in some places, including the place I lived in. And there's a lot of laws about recreational drugs too. Except for alcohol and tobacco, most of it's illegal--although cannabis is decriminalized in some places, even if it's mostly just for medical use.
And, of course, killing people is highly illegal. Which I'm given to understand it's really not in your time and world.

Um. Other than that... well. Uh. We've got... I guess you'd call them supernatural creatures roaming around. Which I didn't know until relatively recently, but vampires at least are a thing. [His childhood crush/hero turned out to be one--seriously, what the fuck?] Werewolves too, I guess. And, uh. There's the True Fae. Who. Well. Are bastard faeries who kidnap people take them back to their own realm, Arcadia--I guess it's sort of an attached world to mine. And Changelings, who are the people who manage to escape from Arcadia, only they're not really completely human anymore.
