Video 01

[There's audible frustration as you hear swearing and the pokegear clatter to the ground. (Bear with her, this is still new for her as her world used magic devices as their communication tech.) Once it's picked up and she dusts it off, she lets out a huff of embarrassment before turning the camera feature towards the Fletchling on her shoulder, and then to her own face, pointed ears poking out of her hair.]

As you must now already all be aware, I've little knowledge of this place! A curse it must be to be found in this place without your powers, and then find you've become a mortal like all the natives, how insulting!

[A brief pause before shaking her head, stopping herself before she starts cursing the ancients of Tharcia and going on a tirade about how Rivaersa unfairly cursed her, stripping her of her Phoenix powers.]

But no matter, 'tis unimportant. What draws my attention is that all here seem to be gifted in Beastmastery... how curious, that's a rare gift in my home, a gift by bloodline and tribe in fact. Are all in this place of the same ancestors or family lines? Or do these creatures have a friendlier disposition than most beasts? This one on my shoulder here, whom I've decided to name 'Nova', calls herself a "Fletchling" and says she's going to be my companion as I "train" her to become stronger. Is this what those beasts here are all called, Fletchling?

AND WHAT IS WITH THIS AWFUL NOISE PLAYING NON-STOP?

Convenient, isn't it? If you're lucky, maybe that newer model of yours comes with extra options or games. Some of their functions get updated once in a while, but the Pokémon Centers usually take care of that, if it's not done automatically.

[Well, the Pokédex gets updated, mostly, but that totally counts.]

Things might be different here, but in my world music channels had to pay to gain the right to play each song. Maybe that particular channel is just very, very cheap.

Same buildings for healing and for Pokégear upgrades, yes. They're convenient meeting spots, too, since people quickly learn to find them in new towns. And best of all, they're completely free!

Live performances are the best way to enjoy music by far, but radio wins for convenience. Are those spells and lacrima portable, or at least mass-produced?

It's one of this world's best points, considering the amount of travel and battling most people do. Or maybe it's the reason people are so willing to travel and battle in the first place.

The places that either already have plenty of magic to condense, or can pay the fees necessary to import them, then? Guess some aspects of supply, demand and economics don't change, no matter what type of world you're in.
