He's got a Scorbunny sort of draped over one shoulder and he's holding a Pokeball and looking very pleased with himself, even though both he and the Scorbunny show signs of having been in a scuffle.]

Ah, hello there, my name's Sento Kiryu, the greatest genius physicist you've never heard of, and this is my sidekick, Tank.

[There's a gesture at the Scorbunny--who looks a bit annoyed at the "sidekick" crack--and Sento keeps right on going heedless of the amounts of ego he may be leaking all over the network.]

I must say, the efficiency with which these things run is quite impressive, quite impressive indeed, the matter reduction and creature containment, and, well--

[He tosses the ball, a Bunnelby pops out, and Sento's absolutely showing off Baby's First Catch. The Bunnelby looks kind of like it was napping and doesn't seem too pleased with suddenly being in the limelight.]

Look at that! Nothing even exploded upon releasing that! It didn't even make much noise, who's in charge of designing these things? I suppose the low-key nature of it is appropriate for some cases, but where's the flash, where's the substance? Surely there's a way to adjust that. The energy source they use appears to be quite minimal, but perhaps with a bit of adjusting, I could make more of a show of it.

[This Pokeball is getting in the way of Sento's being extra, gosh. The Bunnelby looks at the Scorbunny, who shrugs and shakes his head.]

Sounds like an awful lotta talk for someone who's supposedly a physicist. [Don't, Jolyne. Just don't. Though she doesn't seem particularly annoyed or anything as she rolls her shoulders.]

A lot of the Pokemon make a loud enough racket when they come out of their balls to begin with, so it ain't really necessary. And I have a distinct feeling they sure as shit aren't gonna let anyone off planet poke at the technology of these things. But goooood luck?

[Bomber is happily waving at the screen like an absolute nerd rabbit, though. So that's. Good???]

Well, if you feel that way, maybe you should go work for Silph Co. They're the ones with the patent. Maybe they'll let you improve the pokeballs that way.

Wouldn't that bother the Pokemon? They're the ones inside the balls, so they'd have to... deal with all that noise on the way out.

[Cassandra's Type: Null is in the picture with her, looking both particularly sparkly and somehow deeply skeptical of Sento through the containment mask it's wearing. Meanwhile, her Skitty is obliviously playing with a leaf.]

And what, pray tell, is so difficult to comprehend about a physicist with a strong sense of self-presentation? It's absolutely necessary to send the right impression. And I'm sure I can impress them with my brilliance, offworlder or not.

Most science-y types, in my experience, don't tend to go around making huge shows out of shit. But maybe you're just a weirdo, haven't quite decided on that yet. Legit, the natives here aren't keen on us to begin with, I sure as shit don't think they'll let you tinker around with anything since you just got here. Things don't work quite the same as they do elsewhere.

[Ohh! Bomber's making an excited noise at that and waving back. Friend!!!]

There's an idea; I trust they'd offer pay and benefits commensurate to my considerable genius and scientific expertise.

[His Scorbunny looks skeptical but starts waving at the other Pokemon. The Bunnelby just stares because dang that Type: Null is large. And sparkly.]

... possibly. You'll want to head over to the Kanto region for that, though--their main offices are in Saffron City. I think there's supposed to be a ferry between New Bark and Pallet Town, though, and once you make it here to Goldenrod there's the magnet train to get you to Saffron.

Blade is indeed very sparkly. It doesn't wave back, but does tilt its head to one side in seeming acknowledgement of the wave. Or possibly it's confused by the gesture. Either or.]

The train is faster than the ferry, anyhow. It's six hours as opposed to two days.

Ah, excellent. I'd hate to waste time on a ferry when I could spend it exploring and learning more about this place.
