"It takes a while to learn how to use it, and our training itself isn't without danger which is why I thought maybe my experience with it is why flying in this machine doesn't really bother me."

It's hard to be bothered when you have the experience of zooming through the air with only two thin cables to guide you. And when you've been through training in which unexpectedly cutting the wires of trainees is considered a perfectly fine training method. Even if people might die.
