Thace takes in a very slow, but deep, breath before letting it out slowly. His smile looks perfectly polite and natural, unless one is familiar with the tiny signs of a well-faked expression. "Can we help you?"

The officer looks bemused more than anything. "Does this Diggersby belong to you? We found him down in the airport convenience shop."

Thace just nods, mostly hiding the sudden tension at 'belong.' The officer frowns a little. "You really shouldn't let your Pokemon wander off like that. They could get lost, or get into trouble."

And Thace pays no attention to the officer, instead kneeling in front of Trax and taking the Potion. "Were you trying to trade this?"

Trax nods while the officer looks even more confused, and then Thace looks up with a brilliant smile. "Thank you very much for finding him. I promised him I would get him something special once we'd found our terminal and I suppose he got impatient while I was chatting with a friend."

The confusion turns to mild exasperation. "If you kept them in balls like--"

Thace is ignoring him completely, beaming down fondly (still fake) at Trax. "Shall we go get your present now?"

The officer sighs. "If we catch any of yours off on their own again, it won't just be a warning."

Thace is already walking off, 6 Pokemon visibly in tow. A couple minutes later a short text appears on Shinobu's Pokegear. Apologies for cutting things short. At least it appears to have been a successful ruse.
