(Closed) Malleus and Deuce go shopping

[Malleus has been on an adventure with Deuce Spade, and even though he’s not used to calling the other by his first name yet, it’s been fun. His own Pokémon has grown stronger, learning more moves, and becoming friendlier with Deuce and his Pokémon.

They had been in Cherrygrove city for a few days, and Deuce, being the one used to shopping and just general non magical things, had offered to do all the necessary arrangements for their travel. Malleus had been comfortable with the way things were, but... he was curious.

Deuce was going to go shopping soon, for supplies for their trip to Violet city, and Malleus wanted to learn how to do the things Deuce did, specially when it came go being helpful. So, before the human (well, they’re technically both human now, weren’t they?) goes to leave, Malleus puts Gum down from his lap and stands up.]

Deuce, would it be ok to accompany you to do the shopping?

From this store, yeah. We'll want some things for bad weather, but we should be set for food and stuff to wash up with.

[ He places the bottle in their basket. ]

Let's get this stuff paid for so we can get going.

[tsunotarou]

[Malleus nods, and makes for the cash registers, but stops at the refrigerators.]

Deuce?

[pursuit]

[ Deuce pauses, turning to look up at Malleus once again. ]

Yeah, Malleus?

[tsunotarou]

Could we get some ice cream?

[He's looking at the transparent doors, trying to find a flavour that sounds good, in case Deuce says yes.]

[pursuit]

You're asking me?

[ He can't help his surprise, but then... He supposes Malleus has been letting him take the lead. ]

Of course, pick whatever you want. We're a team, right?

[tsunotarou]

You're the one in charge of the funds, so I don't want to over spend.

[He smiles, and looks at the flavours once more, picking out whatever seems tastiest. He grabs two bars, and looks at Deuce.]

I picked one out for you, if you'd like it.

[pursuit]

These aren't expensive, and I made sure we'd have some funds left over.

[ If anything, his budgeting had been very conservative, what with not knowing what they may need later. A couple of ice cream bars won't hurt anything. ]

But I was wondering why you kept looking that way...

[tsunotarou]

[Malleus looks away, a small blush of embarrassment on his face.]

I like ice cream.

[Even if he can't breathe fire anymore, ice cream is amazing.]

[pursuit]

Then we'll make sure to get some in the next town, too.

[ If Malleus enjoys it, there's always room in their budget for that. ]

[tsunotarou]

Thank you.

[He puts the ice creams in the basket and walks to the cash registers. The lady behind it smiles and waves at them.]

[pursuit]

[ Deuce follows him, lacing their items on the conveyor when it's their turn. ]

I think we got a good haul here.

[tsunotarou]

Good, we won't have to worry about food on our travel then.

[And they got ice cream!

He watches as the products are scanned and then bagged, and waits to hold onto the bags when prompted. He wants to be useful!]

[ The first bag Deuce hands Malleus is...

One that he had their ice cream placed in separately. ]

Here, you take care of this one.

[ Deuce leaves no room for debate as he turns to pay for their supplies. ]

[Malleus nods, and takes the bag, smiling. He's going to wait until everything is packed before eating his ice cream, of course.

It doesn't take too long, the cashier is really fast, and everything is taken care out quickly.

Malleus made sure to pick up the bags as they were handed to him, making sure that Deuce doesn't hold any. He paid for it all, he shouldn't carry it.]
