Dimitri wonders how much that is true... How large is this group of bandits? How close are they? Do they have any codes, or plans, that any deviance from would draw immediate suspicion? Perhaps he is simply being an overworrying fool, considering all of this. It would be nice if it were so, if Dimitri could consider himself simply fussing and that Claude of course knows what he's doing.
