"Hey, easy!" Claude holds up his hands in a gesture of surrender. "It's just the chat. And I gave my name first as a gesture of trust! I mean, assuming one of your personal connections is a Rocket, you could hand my identity over to them as someone who was trying to infiltrate them, couldn't you? They don't seem very proactive about protecting their secrets, but it could still potentially cause trouble for me. So instead of us dancing cagily around each other, we lay all our cards on the table and go 'look, you don't make trouble for me and I won't make trouble for you', and try to be friendly. That's all I'm after.

"Besides, it's like you said - if people got forced into Team Rocket and they have to play along with them, those aren't the kinds of people I'm after. The ringleaders at the very top putting people in those awkward positions, maybe, but nobody who's just making the best of a bad situation they never asked to be in is on my radar. They're not responsible for orchestrating this situation, and going after the little guys won't prevent future situations like this either, so why would I? So I don't see why we should be enemies. We're thinking the same way, and I don't think our priorities are out of sync with each other."
