Dimitri takes a little longer to tear his gaze away from the sight. There's always been something reassuring about sunrises, and he's had to indulge in that for five years. It was a sign that he had once again, despite all odds, made it to another day. A sign that he could still keep moving forward, and fix all the wrongs that had been done to.... Well. Mostly the dead.
Now, without that goal hanging so heavily over his head even as the whispers occasionally snap at his heels, he wonders what else this sight can mean for him. Maybe it can mean just this: sitting, eating, being alongside Felix and knowing they are mostly at peace with one another.
He thinks he would like that.
"Isn't it nice?" he murmurs, finally looking over to Felix. "Do you remember when we used to watch sunrises together?"
