It's usually only once or twice a year. I don't actively breed the rest of my pokemon, and they are pretty well-behaved.

Lapras are a slowly maturing species and need a lot of time to grow. So for my breeding program, I produce one big batch of eggs once, sometimes twice a year, then I allow the adult members of my pod to teach the young ones everything they need to know about living in the wild. Handling things this way does take a lot of time, but I want to be certain my young Lapras will be able to handle themselves when they are released.
