I was not aware that was a theory, actually. But no, that seems quite unlikely to me. When outsiders like us first began arriving, the people of this world were quite surprised by it. Additionally, originally people arrived at more or less fixed intervals. That the rate of arrivals has fluctuated and largely declined, as well as become unpredictable, suggests that there was a specific cause or trigger that has perhaps deteriorated over time.
All that aside, there's a stark lack of legends suggesting that humans originated elsewhere. No tales of great journeys or migrations of people, nor of groups suddenly finding themselves whisked away to strange lands. Or at least, no more so than any other tales. Even if it was in the distant past and extremely poorly documented, fragments of stories would surely remain and be passed down.
