Wigglytuff - Armin will be taking on Wigglytuff with his Vileplume Holly due to her weakness to poison attacks. So, not surprisingly, his whole strategy will be poison based. He'll use Toxic to try and inflict poison, then Acid to inflict damage and lower defense. And finally Giga drain and Mega drain to replenish any lost HP.
Absol - Know what Absol is sensitive too? Fairy types. So, for this battle, Armin will be using Gus the Shiinotic. Gus will first use ingrain to anchor itself and recover HP each turn, and afterwards he'll be using Dazzling Gleam, and Moonblast for damage. Mega drain and Giga drain will be used to recover HP if needed.
Magneton - It might shock you to know, but Armin didn't bring any fire or ground pokemon into a temple full of water types, so instead for this match-up, he won't be focusing on trying to hit Magneton's weaknesses, but rather resist its damage and try and outlast it.
This means it is time for Circinus to, uh, roll onto the field. Magneton has mostly Electric and Steel moves, which Circinus resists. However, on the same token, Magneton also resists most of Circinus' moves. So this will be an awful battle of attrition. Circinus will be using mostly electric type moves and moves like roll-out, mirror coat and swift to chip away at Magneton's HP, while depending on his superior level to outlast it.
Also, has 5 other lvl100 pokemon, so even if Circinus can't bring down Magneton, he'll switch to one of them. Won't be pretty necessarily, but again, who is bringing fire or ground pokemon into a water temple!!
