[This is again posted during the night. It includes two photographs, clearly taken during the day, both slightly blurry.

The first is of a group of Jennies sitting down to lunch. They look relaxed and happy, chatting to each other. The angle of the photograph and also the fact that there are some leaves present in it give the impression that someone took it from hiding.

The second is of two Joys while they are working at the poke centre. Just two Joys working, nothing special going on.

In both cases, the Joys and Jennies in the photographs have been circled in red.]

So, are we just not going to talk about this?

You could test it out. Tell one Jenny something and then go see if another Jenny knows it.

I could. I'd probably have to test it out between Jennies of different cities. If I try two Jennies of the same department, there is always the chance that they talked about it in the break room. (assuming they are the sort of entities that even require breaks) Actually. Want to help me in a little experiment?

Oh, but you couldn't let too much time pass between each instance, otherwise the two different Jennies might call between the cities.

[Riz immediate grabs the map that had been folded into the backpack he had received from 'mom', mapping out the distance between the two cities, and yeah. That should be far enough.]

It's like you said, this test is a bit time sensitive. Too much time, and there is no way to prove they hadn't communicated in a different way. But I don't really have the ability to travel that quickly between two different cities.

[Okay, there are those teleport pads, but considering The Mystery Of The Joys, does he really want to try those out now?]

But if you are in Goldenrod City and I am in Violet City, I could tell a memorable story to one of the suspects here on my end. And then you could try and question a suspect on your end and see if they know anything. Though we'd have to come up with a story we can be certain they would tell to you too.

Ohh, yeah! That could work!

It would have to be a story that would make sense for one person to tell and then another person to ask about later.
Can you think of any stories like that?

Well, everybody in this world seems to really like these pokemon things. What if we pretend one of us has lost one of a pokemon and then other can pretend they've found it. That would be the sort of information they would pass along, I think.

We'd have to time it just right, so that I say I've found your lost Pokemon before they could conceivably have sent a message from Violet to Goldenrod.

We could time our watches like they do in movies.

[Okay, this is a big and important thing to investigate, but Riz also cannot help but feel a small dorky thrill at doing something so very obviously spy-like.]

Don't know what a movie is, but okay, that sounds fun!

[Kristen's parents had let her watch movies, sure, but it had all been the Helio-ic bullshit ones. There had indeed been a time where even Riz had been slightly more up to date on cinematic pop-culture than Kristen had.

Of course, then Kristen had ditched her bigoted parents, moved in with Fig and Gilear and that era had swiftly ended.]

We just don't have all this futuristic technology stuff on Nua.

Oh. Sorry, didn't mean to assume, but you just sounded pretty up to date on tech stuff. I guess it makes sense there are some places where that sort of tech doesn't exist. Movies are like books you can watch. Or I guess... like a recorded play. Do you have plays in Nua?

That's okay. We all come from really different worlds, so it's hard to know what will or won't be familiar to someone else.

Yeah, we have plays. So a movie's like that, but played on a screen like the Gear?

Yeah. And they usually have special effects and cool sets. I can show you one if they have movies in this world. Uh, after we perform that hive mind test on the police officers. Clues first, movies second.

That sounds fun! I can't wait.

Let's get our stories straight. Which one of us lost the Pokemon and which one found it?

Do you think you could report that you saw what looks like a runaway pokemon? Then I'll follow up on my end reporting that one of my pokemon got loose. No offence, but I just really want to see their reaction with my own eyes. I am a rogue, after all. This is sort of my thing.

[Like, who knows what kind of insight Rainer has. Currently she seems a few levels above Fabian 'ate glass' Seacaster, but Riz has no idea of her insight measures up to his own.]

[ Her insight is pretty decent, for someone who doesn't specialize in Wisdom-based skills, but it's probably no match for a rogue. ]

What kind of pokemon should I say the runaway one I saw was?
We don't want to be too vague, but maybe being overly specific wouldn't be good, either.

Good question. It probably shouldn't be one of the really common ones here. Maybe a bit big so it would be easy to spot. Wait, let me check--

[Riz has been reading his pokedex, but not, perhaps, with the same verosity as he has been collecting other facts about this world. He's just... never been a big nature guy? Animal person? He had taken care of Edgar, but that has been his only experience with a pet ever.

He turns to his gear, jabbing at the buttons until he finds what he is looking for.]

How about one of these? I don't think you can find these here, right? It is only a foot long though. Do you think we should go with something bigger?

[He just thought this one looks kinda badass.]

I don't know, I'm not the person to ask about what Pokemon can be found where.

But I think a foot long metal ant is conspicuous enough that it should work for our purposes! When do you want to do this? We've got to get the timing just right!

The sooner, the better. The more we know about what they are capable of, the better we can gather other information.
