[Since his arrival, Aymeric has made a point of mostly avoiding text-based communication. Aside from a brief moment in which he had been entirely unable to compose himself, he hasn't felt any need to attempt to navigate the strange new device. It's far easier to figure out the camera and talk into that, after all.
So maybe the post that appears is odd enough for that reason. But there's also the fact that the text itself is... Well, it's hardly becoming of the well-spoken, and well-mannered Lord Commander.]
Hail and well met, my dudes.
I have a confession for the masses collected on this Intertwined Web. I have spent the bulk of my last few days composing a collection of poems. Though the concept of confessing any ounce of feeling goes starkly against my moral code, I have deemed it inappropriate to continue to subject my buds to my unending pining.
And so I give you the product of many hours of work.
Oh baby my heart beats like a drum
Every time I touch your bum
I know my way with words is slick
Do you wanna come and touch mylksjdflksdlfkk -
[The key smash actually goes on for some time, before being interrupted by a series of what appears to be accidentally recorded audio clips. The noise can only be described as chaos as a man's voice, likely Aymeric's, attempts to command his Pokemon to do... something. The final piece of audio is at least relatively clear -- ]
Lucille, please. You may -- in the coming days-- assist me in this -
[This clip ends with a rather shrill screech, before it comes to an abrupt end. With it, the spammed messages also draws to a close, leaving Aymeric's feed almost unnervingly quiet considering the noise he'd only just kicked up.]

That's alright; I've seen worse from Pokemon getting hold of people's Gear.
...Assuming that's what that was. If not, my apologies.

The creature not only appeared in my room, it decided to assume my visage.
And naturally post that... drivel to all who had the misfortune of being around to see it.
no subject
Sorry about your, uh, identity-slash-Gear theft, though. At least you managed to stop the Pokemon before it got *worse*?
no subject
No, I think I shall be grateful for these circumstances, troublesome though they are.
I thank you for helping me find some good in this mess, my friend.
no subject
Then again, I guess other people not holding it against you might not help much with the embarrassment itself.
Anyway! No problem, man, I'm just glad I could be at *all* reassuring.
no subject
Truly, you were more than reassuring. It is one thing to have friends "reassure" me in their own way. That I know I have not drastically ruined my reputation is a weight off my shoulders.
Though with that being said, I have been lamenting my own predicament without a proper introduction. My name is Aymeric -- Aymeric de Borel. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Ah, right, names! I'm Grant Abaroa - nice to meet you.
[He would guess, based on the name and how this guy is writing, that this would probably be another old-timey person...? He supposes he'll be able to guess more clearly if they ever meet in person.]
no subject
I can only hope that our next meeting will be under far more fortuitous circumstances.

Same to you, there, though. Things like this happen... every so often here, but it's pretty peaceful overall? So there should be a good chance of that.
no subject
Truly, for all my mutterings, I know 'tis not all bad. A far cry from it, in fact. From all that I have heard, I feel I can rest assured knowing that this world is a peaceful one. Your assurance only makes me all the more confident in a future in which I have my wits about me.
I look forward to that day, See Abaroa.
no subject
I'll look forward to it too - uh, is there any kind of title I should be using for you by the way?
no subject
Any that I might have held a claim to are some worlds away. "Twould be folly to insist upon them.
Aymeric is just fine, my friend.
no subject
Ah! Okay, good. To be clear on it, i mean - nobody I've met here with a title has really used it, but I thought I might as well check?
[Just in case, one of these days, he comes across an old-timey noble who DOES want their title used.]
Thanks for letting me know, Aymeric. Just Grant works for me, too.
no subject
'Tis appreciated. And I did not mean to imply that anyone who does or does not use them is to be looked down upon. It is only a preference that I not be referred to as such. I... have been enjoying the break.
no subject
...Not that Grant can efficiently clear that up when he doesn't know the misunderstanding is happening.]
Oh yeah I get what you mean! I mean, not directly, but I could imagine. This place is really good for... breaks from things, in general. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
no subject
"Not directly" is at least mildly reassuring.]
It helps that the company here is so pleasant, of course.
