I had the same worries, at first. Actually, I didn't even battle until recently and tried to catch all my Pokemon through, like, other means than that.

But, uhm. A friend lent me her Ditto, who can transform and translate for me that... My Pokemon actually really enjoy it, I guess? Battling. It's fun for them. So, y'know, if that helps at all- It did for me, so.
