As for the flying issue, would less motion help? For example, Golurk can use Fly, but it's more similar to levitation than the flight of winged flying pokemon. Very similar to piloting a fighter, or a Lion I would guess, at low speeds, just without the protective screens. So the occasional bit of dodging bug pokemon is sometimes necessary.
