Are soldiers in other worlds not rewarded for their kills, and the efficiency in which they complete them?

Instituting rewards for practice and training as well is something I would have preferred, but as it was, rewards from the battlefield were shared in expectation that the training would net more rewards later.

That is what I had thought this was, but if it is not...
