New Bark Town Mingle Log

There was some interest expressed in doing a New Bark Town mingle log, so I'm throwing this up here for anyone who wants to do it:

Who: Anyone who wants to!

Where: Mom's House, New Bark Town

When: August 14th

Summary: There is a huge group at Mom's! What are they doing?

Rating: Probably no higher than PG

Radley looks up from reuniting with most of his Pokemon to see that everyone else is doing the same ... mostly. Although there are some very strange things going on. It sounds like someone is in the closet. Someone else is yelling for help getting off the ... fridge? And it's wall to wall people everywhere.

"Oh boy...."

He gets up and looks for both a way out of here and a path to whoever needs help. His Pokemon warble and follow him, or rather, all he can't carry follows him. Cosmo the Ralts stays clinging to his neck. She was already extremely shy and reluctant to let go of Radley before all this happened. She may never let go of him now....

"And apparently it didn't really, since Arceus had to come fix what it did," Radley grimaces. He's not even sure what to make of reality breaking, or if he even wants to know what that really entails.

His Eevees line the windowsill and warble. He laughs, petting them.

"Oh...yeah...I guess that's true."

[crystalmaster]

"I wonder why he left us there all that time. Surely he knew the machine would just cause trouble when we tried to use it again. He could have brought us back before any of that happened."

But Radley sighs. "Oh well. The important thing is that we're finally home." He doesn't have the strength or the will to be angry right now. He's too happy to be back with his Pokemon. They're snuggling him some more now.

[shiningkindness]

"To be honest, even if it was possible for him, I doubt having to move so many people back and forth through time would have been good for time and space. He might have only gotten involved because he had to fix whatever the machine broke."

[crystalmaster]

"Probably. I wonder if that means he would have let us stay stuck there otherwise."

He hopes not.

"I wonder what'll happen to Cara Liss now. You know, I've been wanting to connect all the worlds, but if I actually tried to do it, I might inadvertantly cause the same kind of widescale disaster."

It disappoints him to realize he'll probably have to shelve that idea. He certainly doesn't want to cause another upset.

"I'm not sure. He might have, if it had been safer to do that."

It was a bit frightening to think that they could have been stuck in the past forever, though.

"Mm, yeah. It can be dangerous having a rift between worlds like that. Who knows what other things could leak into this world, or vice versa."

Because as much as she likes having the portal to Equestria back home, there is still a lot of problems with rampant Equestrian magic that usually needs taking care of.

It makes Radley furious to think that they might have remained separated from their Pokemon forever, so he decides not to dwell on that moot point.

"I'd been thinking of figuring out ways to make sure only certain people could pass back and forth, but maybe there's no way to really do that."

He sighs.

"Oh well. I just wanna be grateful that we're finally back."

He smiles as his Pokemon cuddle some more.

"Yeah, I can't imagine that it'd be easy to screen that kind of thing."

They certainly had never been able to manage with the various portals connected to Equestria.

With a small smile, Fluttershy nods as she cuddles her own Pokemon. "Me too."

"Maybe if it was really like a door and you needed a special key," Radley said. "I don't know if it would even be possible to make something like that for a portal. It's a nice thought, though."
