[As soon as he could, Kageyama was leaving the little town of New Bark and trying to get as far from "mother" as possible. He, unfortunately in his mind, had a crow that refused to stay in the damn ball this "professor" gave him. The Murkrow caws as it flies above the teen as if mocking his inability to take to the sky.]

[He takes the Poke-gear-dex-thing and goes through it. A network post starts up as he thinks about how to send this out to get his friends to get to him. If they were there...]
Hey! What the hell is this place?! This isn't Karasuno or Tokyo! [The cawing sounds closer in the background.] If anyone knows the way back-
[Kageyama is cut off by claws grabbing the device. All you can see is the ground and a angry teen for a few seconds before there is nothing but leaves. The device is then dropped onto the grass below and is upside down, a strange view as Kageyama is getting closer and closer to retrieve it...]

Not a lot. Just got told to catch these Poke-things and train them.

[He could have just kept his mouth shut and behaved, but this is Tooru, and no matter how long he's been in this place and gotten over most of his issues, he's still Tooru.]
But nevermind that. Those "poke-things" are called Pokémon, and yes you're supposed to train them. Six on a team, actually, like volleyball. Think of it like you're their captain, or coach, and it might make it easier to do.
