This does look like a perfectly cozy place to cuddle up for the night. Once Byleth is set down, he easily moves with Dimitri to return that kiss, hugging him close and allowing it to linger, become more intimate.

Their lips do finally part though, and he takes the opportunity to tuck a piece of that messy blonde hair behind Dimitri's ear, resting his palm against his cheek.

"Ah. You've gotten so big, sometimes I forget until you're right next to me. But still the same Dimitri, deep down." Even as a student, he was big. Bigger than Byleth for sure, but five years and so many trials had bulked him up so significantly it is something to marvel at from time to time. Fortunately being 'big' is kind of something Byleth is into, if his track record for boyfriends is any proof. Big and soft.
