Character name: Luisa Madrigal
Pokemon: Inigo the Mudbray as the main, and Estrella the Galarian Rapidash as supporting
Move used: Sandstorm, Earthquake, and Rock Smash

The performance: The curtain opens to a mountainous backdrop, and the stage is set to resemble a rocky terrain. In the center stands Inigo, but somehow his fur is colored all black. As he paces back and forth a bit, Luisa’s voice narrates off-stage.

“Mula Retinta is an evil spirit that takes the form of a mule as black as night. Some say that it is the favored steed of the devil himself. Those who travel along the steep, narrow paths of the mountains, take caution. For anyone crossing Mula Retina’s path will soon discover that it will never let them pass.

Inigo continues to walk from one end of the stage to the other, before walking off stage completely. As he does, Luisa and Estrella enter from the other side. Luisa is dressed in a traditional arriero garb, though with a few items sporting a bit more fashionable flair. Beside her Estrella (with a covering over her head to hide her horn), is carrying several packs of goods on her back and sides. Luisa takes a moment to readjust one of the packs, making sure it’s secure before the two continue on their way.

Luisa and Estrella walk to the middle of the stage before Inigo reappears on the other side, and his presence causes Estrella to abruptly stop. Luisa, not seeming to notice the dark donkey just yet, tugs at Estrella’s reins to try and pull her forward, but the Rapidash refuses to budge. Luisa finally turns, but by the time she spots Inigo it’s too late; the Mudbray uses Sandstorm to kick up sand with a powerful wind. The storm is strong enough to drive Luisa and Estrella back, and Inigo advances on them and forces them off-stage again, with him following suit.

As they exit again, the mountain backdrop is lifted to reveal what looks like a rocky cliffside, and as the sandstorm continues to blow Luisa and Estrella enter from the opposite side of the stage, the winds still pushing them back. Unable to see, they retreat back and end up along the narrow path in the side of the mountain, still being pursued by the dark Inigo.

Then, standing at the base of the path, Inigo uses Earthquake, causing the ground, stage and all, the rumble and shake. Bits of rocks start to fall from the cliffside, and the tremble of the earth causes Luisa to stumble and lose her balance. She falls to her knees, but Estrella does her best to keep her owner secure on the ledge.

It does little good, however; rearing up on his hind legs, Inigo then brings his front hooves down hard and uses Rock Smash to break the face of the cliffside. The ledge underneath the two of them start to crumble, and with the sandstorm continuing to blow it doesn’t take much for the path to give way completely, and both Luisa and Estrella fall down the cliff and disappear into a trapdoor at the bottom of the stage, their screams dampened by the sand still whipping around them.

Then the storm finally does down, and with a snort Inigo continues up the now broken path of the mountainside as the curtains fall closed.

It’s only a few moments later, though, that Luisa and Estrella walk back onstage, neither looking too worse for wear, and eventually Inigo comes from the other side to join them. All three give their bows, and Luisa picks up Inigo and carries him on her shoulder as they walk off again.
