NEVER HAVE I EVER
Who: Cordy and EVERYONE
Where: Bowey Academy, dining hall
When: Backdated to occurring during fourth wall weekend!
Summary: NEVER HAVE I EVER MINGLE
Rating: please put any cws in the subject lines!
[ I'm sorry, where you minding your own business? Well, Cordy's in the Bowey Academy cafeteria, mead in hand, when she fires off a post on the network:]
Bowey Academy cafeteria
BE THERE OR BE SQUARE
[ Here's how to play:
1) Create a toplevel with your character where they state something they haven't done.
2) others will reply to your toplevel and react to it if they want, taking a drink if they've done the thing. Everyone has a drink with them upon entering the place, and the drink can be any liquid (beer, apple juice, blood, etc.)
3) You can also reply to other people's toplevels with just general shenanigans, that's fine.
4) Ideally you'd want each thing someone's never done to be it's own top-level, but I'm not gonna complain or anything.
5) Do you oocly want your character to participate but they wouldn't ICly? No problem, it's fourth wall, they can just randomly materialize here from somewhere else with a drink of your choice in hand. They cannot leave until they participate for... Whatever reason. ]

[But he can understand fairly quickly just what Emporio is asking him here.]
Oh, certainly - along with pegasi and wyvern, of course, in terms of transportation. Indeed, we did not have access to even a half of the kinds of technology one would find here in Johto...

I think I get it then- what you're describing sounds historically familiar as far as schooling goes, but there's emphasis on the historic end. ...It always seemed impressive to read about though- I can't imagine knowing as many languages as people from nobility seemed to.

The only thing I could be confident in is teaching swordsmanship or how to use a lance... but most would find that silly to use here.
Although still invaluable, I think.
[He threw a rat at a cultist from his combat skills and Dimitri still thinks that was the best thing he could have done.]
In truth, it depends very much on what is expected of you as a noble when it comes to other languages. For example, it would be encouraged for those in either lands close to the borders of other countries or high heads of state to know additional languages, and even that would depend on things.
[Hmm...] I do not know how it would work, but... I could attempt to teach you the language of Fodlan, if you are simply curious about knowing other languages.

...and, probably more useful than most would think. [He's not going to think about why, that road leads to Bad memories.]
Huh...Oh-
Really? ...Is that possible here? If we're normally speaking something else and somehow understanding the other, can we still write in our original ones?
[Well. That's pretty much exactly what Dimitri was just wondering, but.]
...I guess we could try writing stuff down and go from there...

[Dimitri, why were you teaching your Pokemon this-]
So I can confirm that much. It does take some effort and concentration, but it is not impossible!

[what]
Well in that case, it has to be worth a try..! It'd be nice to know another language! ...More than a handful of words at least, [He adds with a slight mutter to the side.]

[SORT OF. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.]
Then I can gladly help you! Perhaps not here, during a party where we are supposed to be playing games... [Whoops] But I will prepare things for the new year coming.
The nature of our Gears will make lessons very easy!
no subject
[And oooh-!] Oh yeah- Yeah that does make it easy huh! We could set up a time and day to regularly call for those.

[He sleeps better than he used to, on account of his nightmares being eaten, but, you know.]

[Dimitri isn't sure if that's the same for both of them, but, it's a place to start, and they can adjust as needed.]

Ah, I suppose I should make a note about this in my Gear...
[Hold on, he... he needs to struggle with the calendar function now.]
no subject
[And from there he'll wait patiently as Dimitri makes his note. Very patiently. Hopefully Dimitri doesn't have Too much trouble with the calendar function.]
