[ Maria was slightly confused at being told to go on an adventure and given a pink blob of a pokemon called Igglybuff. ]

This isn’t London or Tokyo… the staff for the venue are going to be angry if I’m late for the rehearsal time.

[ She did have her idol persona and whatnot going on back home that was making the whole wake up in a new place quite troubling. ]

This Igglybuff that they gave me, she’s quite cute I have to admit; almost like a squishy pink plushie you get for someone as a gift. As much as I want to take care of her though, I don’t think I can bring something like this home.

[ The Igglybuff was hiding in-between where Maria was sitting and her long hair, a bit shy at meeting anyone. ]

If any member of S.O.N.G sees this please make sure Kirika and Shirabe are at least being taken care of. Before I left for London I had left Chris in charge of them but if I can’t get ahold of people back home it’ll be a problem.

[ Maria let out a small sigh, she was worried about her two adoptive siblings more so then her current state. But never the less it was time to try and move out and see what else this place had in store.]

[One thing about this town was that it wasn't very big. So it was only a matter of time before Mei bumped into someone else, although she hadn't quite meant to eavesdrop.]

I'm not sure we can get home.

[Everything she's heard seems to point to them being stuck in this...world? Planet. Dimension. Whatever this may be. She's not alone, either. There's something following behind her like a little shadow.]

[ Being stuck in this town wasn't so bad now that other people were starting to show up. Not only could she talk to the people on the network, but she could also talk to people face-to-face...which also meant being able to hear their own broadcasts to the network in person. There's two words that stand out to Minako in particular - "venue" and "rehearsal." It's barely enough time after the other girl has finished her post that Minako bolts up to her, eyes twinkling. ]

Hey, could it be...?! Are you possibly an idol?!

[ Absolutely of no help whatsoever. ]

[ !! Maria wasn't really expecting anyone to just show up let alone eavesdrop. The eyepatch and shadowy pokemon following this person did give her a scare. ]

I-I considered that, but it doesn't hurt to try and get a message out at least!

I'm the world famous idol Maria Cadenzavna Eve.

[ Of course she was being a bit prideful since normally people didn't get to see her idol life that much. ]

[Mei tends to have that effect on people. She should probably work on her introduction skills a bit. She doesn't seem bothered by the fact she just frightened Maria, though.]

I suppose. [She'd just asked for someone to clue her in a bit, herself.]

From what I understand, we're trapped here.

It sure isn't, but...oh, what kind of rehearsal?

[As someone who considers music to be an important part of her life, this question needed to be asked right away.]

Oh, you've got an Igglybuff? They're really cute—

[At the same moment, she's being pushed away from the Gear by her Jigglypuff, which is now in the very center of the camera shot, but Kaori's voice can be still heard anyway.]

So are they evolutions, though! Meet Jigglypuff, it's like...a teenage version of Igglybuff, I guess?

[She's been a while here, but doesn't really care about proper terminology, apparently.]

[ ...She's never heard that name before, but that doesn't stop her from asking: ]

Then...can I get your autograph?!

[ She doesn't even wait for a definitive answer before she begins to rustle through her backpack to pull out her Breeder's Notepad. ]

[Ringabel greets the camera with a bright smile. He's always one to put his best foot forward for the ladies, after all, and it's simply common courtesy.

He knows how alarming it is to adjust to foreign circumstances, and he's been through this routine here before.]

Well, miss, you'll find that it's no trouble to keep your charming companion here. In fact, these creatures are a fixture in the local culture, to the point that everything from books to even fashion seem to revolve around them.

[What goes unsaid is that she can't go home, mostly because he suspects it's best to ease her into the subject.]

Everything revolves around them? Aren't they just pets like cats and dogs?

[ Maria kinda figured they were animals like any old dog or cat just well.. different shaped. ]

Concert rehearsal for a show I'm taking part in. I'm not the only act so they can get by but it's troubling for me.

[ Oh no, that Jigglypuff is cute, almost like a big sister type to the pokemon she has. ]

Evolutions? That takes lifetimes to normally take place...

I don't mind, but I don't know what good my autograph will do here.

[ Fans are always nice at least? ]

Trapped... this is far from good news.

[ Well more like if people find out she's missing back home her adoptive siblings will suffer the blame. ]

Oh, it'll just make me really happy.

[ She's a girl who's so obsessed with idols, she once tore down a promotion poster for one of her favorite groups to put in her bedroom. An autograph is way better than a poster, so she extends the notepad and pen out for Maria to sign. ]

Most of the people I've spoken to don't seem to mind.

[Even so, she's still wary of this whole thing.]

A show, huh? Would that mean you're an idol?

[This is a bit slow on her end, but she finally realizes something:]

Wait, you've performed in London?!

[If that's true, there's a high chance that she's talking to someone really popular?! Maybe she shouldn't be so casual about everything, then...?]

True, it's more like growing up, actually...just think of growth spurts. They usually change forms when they reach a certain level, but Jigglypuff here...I must be doing something wrong, I'm training, training and training with her, but nothing happens. Maybe she just can't grow any further...

Oh, far from it! Even the most tiny, adorable creatures possess a great deal of power. They're more akin to monsters, really.

[Pausing, he's quick to add--]

And, for the record, I mean that less as an insult and more as a description, as my own world was home to a great deal of creatures with similar magical abilities.

[That, and there's the obvious connotation of Pocket and Monster, though that goes unsaid for now.]

[ Maria can't say no at this point and took the pen and notepad and scribbled down a message in English plus her name. Sadly her Japanese character writing was quite horrible so English had to do. ]

Minako is a cute name, it's Eastern correct?

Monsters pose no threat, I've fought creatures that are far worse then these cute animals.

[ Considering the monsters in her world turn everything into carbon ash a cute Igglybuff is nothing to fear. ]

Yes, I had a charity live there with a friend. [ Was friend even the right term... Tsubasa was more of a partner. ]

I don't normally tell everyone about the idol part, I'm well known enough where I'm from to where it causes problems.

[ Don't be formal, Maria will just panic over her own speech patterns then. ]

Maybe it's not made for fighting? Sometimes it's strength is found somewhere else.

I do mind, dropping my responsibilities is something I can't afford right now.

I understand.

[Mei looks calm enough, but this whole thing still has her pretty on edge.]

A way back would be nice.

[ Well, Minako will cherish it anyways! It just makes her a little bit more motivated to improve her English. Once Maria is done signing, she'll take the notepad and pen back with a cheery grin. ]

Thanks! And that's right, I'm from Japan.

[ A beat. Come to think of it, Maria's name wasn't commonly known to her either... ]

What about you? Where are you from?

Oh?

[His face lights up at her remark. After all, there's a certain familiarity to it.]

Then that makes us kindred spirits! In fact, I've amassed a great deal of experience fighting everything from living plants to fearsome dragons.

No worries, your secret is safe with me!

[Is it still a secret though, she wonders. Some people may have figured Maria's identity already...?]

Good point. I mean she has a beautiful singing voice, personally I love it. Igglybuff does too, just ask yours to sing and you'll see...well, listen for yourself.

[ Dragons are a bit out of her league... even Carol's weird robot lion thing took everyone at full power to take it down. ]

I prefer not to fight, but I've had to lately in order to protect others. Dragons are a bit out there even for me though.
