On September 15, all who have given heed to Farrah's plea for help gather at Circuit de Kantochamps over in, well, Kanto. UBIRDS were arranged by Farrah for the event (she really, really wants someone to beat these little jerks) so anyone, anywhere is welcome to join!

Once you arrive at the Circuit, Farrah can be seen pacing and muttering to herself, her Cyclizar Charles trying his level best to calm her down. It doesn't look like she is interested in a chat right now. Neither would you be, probably, if your Circuit was absolutely flooded with strange Tentacool knock-offs (If you scan them with your gear, the Pokedex will tell you these pokemon are called Toedscool) who are all jumping around, stretching, wrestling a bit amongst each other and being a rather general nuisance. Though if anyone tries to tell them off, they very quickly flee to hide behind--

Oh good god.

That's an absolutely massive Tentacruel-- no, Toedscruel. She towers over the many little Toedscool, patting them with her massive tentacles, and having the audacity to glare at you if you even dare to look slightly funny at her very precious brood.

Unfortunately, because of how quickly Farrah had to put this all together, there aren't a lot of side activities available at the circuit right now. There is The Race obviously, but apart from that, you are free to check out The Stables where Farrah's Cyclizar are being kept. If you are interested in borrowing one for the race, you might want to head over there a little early and get to meet your new ride.

The other thing that is available is A Small Museum. And we do mean small! It's barely two rooms, but it is filled with memorabilia of Cyclizar racers and racing from outside of this region. It honestly looks less like a formal museum, and more like someone's personal collection that has grown massively out of control. But hey, if you have an interest in learning a bit more about Cyclizar racing (or if you just want a quiet place to flee the crowd) feel free to check it out.

That sounds like me with animals. [Luna looked quite happy to find something of a kindred spirit.]

Bulbasaurs are very cute, and their final evolution can be quiet powerful, especially once you're able to Mega Evolve one. Venusaur is also a quadraped and very large, which makes it excellent for helping with hauling cargo or carrying people as needed.

[Oh thank goodness, he knew people who liked really sweet things once upon a time, he can make a decent recommendation here. Dimitri perks up slightly.]

Oh, well, what are your thoughts on cotton candy? It seems as though there was a rather interesting stall that I saw which seemed to put an interesting twist on it!

"I was considering it, but then I decided against it when I saw what we'd be racing against," Radley says with a dry smirk. "And especially the mommy."

[Romelle had to think about that for a second. The term certainly sounded familiar.]

I don't believe I've tried that. Is it wearable candy? Or clothing that's edible?

Wow! That is even more amazing than what I can imagine. This is going to get me more driven to find a Bulbasaur someday and raise and train them well. A battling powerhouse, a cargo handler and a handy transportation? Talk about being a very versatile Pokémon.

Romelle glanced over, eyeing the group of little mushroom looking things with their giant mushroom momma.

"Yes... I can certainly agree with that."

Mm-hm. It really is. I hope you find a good one.

[Luna didn't have any, otherwise she'd offer to breed one.]

"I don't even wanna know what she might do if she's one of those overprotective sorts who gets enraged if she feels the kids aren't being treated fairly in sports," Radley says. He's heard horror stories of some out of control humans back home.

Oh gee thank you so much. I do hope that I will find a good one out there in the wild and we can be the best of friends along the way.

"If he was still here, he'd have it done already."

There's a sad fondness in the statement. It's still hard sometimes, realizing how many of their teammates aren't around anymore. But now - no. Now isn't the time to think about that.

"... I also need trainers," he goes on, like he's just thinking of this, when really, it's been on his mind. "People for challengers to test themselves against before they get to the Gym Leader."

See where he's going with this, Keith?

Keith couldn't help the small smile and chuckle about Hunk, even if it was also a bit sad. He understood the feeling, shockingly enough. Sitting half cross-legged as usual, one leg tucked under and the other pulled up against his chest, Keith leaned his arms on the upright knee, crossing them over each other as he listened to Shiro continue. He shifted his glance towards Shiro at that last bit.

"I imagine you do." He'd done enough gym challenges now himself to know how it worked. "I wonder who could help with that..." Keith looked up at the sky as if he was thinking about it, though it was hard to hide the little bit of amusement from his tone. "I'm sure if you asked, you'd have a lot of people wanting to do just that."

Though, there were also probably a good number of people who'd try to encourage Keith to run his own gym, but... Keith would honestly prefer to work in someone else's. Running his own was kind of like doing the whole leader thing again, and there was only so much of that Keith wanted to be involved with.

"Yes. I've heard about parents that can be that way sometimes." Romelle settled in to her chair as the competitors began to line up for the race. "I suppose we'll find out soon."

[Luna nodded.]

I do feel like I've become very good friends with some of my Pokémon, too. It's a good feeling.

Radley sits down near her. "Yeah...."

Evie sits on his lap and wags her tail with happy warbles.

I agree with that as well. I have started to become really good friends with many of my Pokémon too. It feels really wonderful when there is a great strong bond between the Pokémon and the people who look after them and train them.

Right? I hope they're okay. [ She gently pats Estrella's side. ] I know it really surprised Estrella the first time it happened.

Not so much the third time, though.

Oh yeah, I bet that definitely helps. That's probably one of the best things about knowing where your Pokemon came from. [ She gently brushes Estrella's mane. ] I got Estrella as an egg from Dimitri, and I think he'd had some help with breeding the eggs? But I'm not sure who her parents are.

Yeah. I do hope they will be able to recover from that eventually as well. At least Estrella is able to shrug off the surprising amount of the Pokémon obstacles and being able to get across the finish line in the end.

"Well. In that case... I'm asking."

He leans over a bit, digging an elbow into Keith's side at that. He'd wanted all of them there, when he'd been starting to plan. The whole team. Now they're down to just a few, but that hasn't really changed.

Having Keith and Allura as trainers would mean a lot. Putting that pressure on them doesn't feel right, though. All he can do is ask.

"I'm going to ask Allura, too, if she wants. Unless she'd rather set up her own gym."

Oh - no, I do not believe so, although I suppose there must be something similar, somewhere. [Modern food can be weird, after all.] But, rather, it is so soft and light that it looks like cotton.

It is rather interesting to feel in the mouth, because of that. It melts almost immediately.

Yeah. [ She smiles as she brushes Estrella's mane, who gives a pleased knickering sound. ] Estrella is really strong. I'm so proud of her.

That is always great to hear. She is both strong and resilient at the same time and I think that my Pokémon can agree on that as well. Is that right, Carmen, Félix?

Rose, Roselia! Noi-bat! Noi, bat-bat!

A young woman the same age as Keith and Lance and Hunk who had just lost EVERYTHING except for her house, her advisor, and four mice, forced to take on the mantle of a general millennia too late and still years and years too early. Of course she had to stay strong, couldn't rely on the Paladins she'd recruited to fight her war to help ease her emotional burdens when she asked them for everything else already, when she wasn't really one of them.

But she was wrong back then, she knows that now. And some of the words that Keith shared after the tunnel incident guide her in what to say next... she hopes. Or it could blow up in her face again, but she needs to try at least.

"I will say that... I knew you would be fine if you healed on your own. You're very strong; nobody who knows you would ever say otherwise, I don't think. But I want to help you with things like this because I care about you, and you always do so much for me. You're my family."

[heartofalioness]

"Exactly. And it was a team effort, yourself included." She presses another kiss to his cheek with a coy grin. "If you want, I'd be more than happy to have a rematch against you, minus the cheating wild Pokémon."

Ah, I see. It's clear that Estrella's been very well raised too.

[Glycinia nods imperiously. ... Obviously SHE is best pony, but Estrella is cool too, she supposes.]
