nastyboy: (Barbarian: I reckless attack.)

what if you just pump so many TMs into a single rat, asks Dimitri,

Truly, Dimitri has to admit that it is a stunning and powerful attack - wonderfully demonstrative of the kind of sheer might behind the Dragon types. None could deny that is very strong.

However, he is proud to say that there are even stronger shields to beat such powerful weapons.

"Gremlin - protect yourself." As though he needs to say it very much. Even as the winds grow harsher and faster, the little Rattata simply curls up into as tight a ball as possible, hunkered right down. As the dust kicks up all around him, it may be possible to see a faint shimmer around that little body...

And it is a shimmer that still holds strong when the winds finally grow calm again, Gremlin right where he were, as though not having moved an inch. He peeks open one eye, only to leap upon his feet with an energetic chatter.

Protect truly is one of the most useful moves he's ever gotten, Dimitri thinks, and grins.

"I believe we'll now return the favor. Gremlin, exactly as you saw!" With that, a different kind of glow seems to shift throughout the rat's purple fur, and then he's off. It looks initially like a simple run, not too unlike the speed associated with a Quick Attack or something similar - something that can perhaps be attributed to the natural speediness of Rattata. But the circle grows tighter, ever faster, and the wind begins to circle just as wildly and viciously as what was shown before.

Rattata may not be naturally able to learn Hurricane on their own... but with Mimic, it's at least temporarily possible.
