Truly... the effects of confusion can make a mess of even the most highly trained Pokemon. Dimitri knows this quite well, having gone up against it many a time in his challenges against the various gyms of the land. All he can do is grimace in complete and utter sympathy.
Of course, if this were a gym battle, then he would press Gremlin forward all the more to finish up the battle quickly before they might let victory slip from their fingers. That is simply the proper way of it; he can even see Gremlin skidding to a stop in eager anticipation of what might happen.
But this isn't that kind of battle. "Gremlin, hold on," he calls out, and pays no mind to the huffy squeaks which result. "Ori, if you need a moment..."
He has things he wants to say, a point to drive further in, but, well...
