Same thing that happens to everybody who disappears. Went back home.

It's just something that happens. Hell, it's how I got all my Pokemon. All but two of'em belonged to friends of mine that went home. Friends I lived with.

It's shitty, though.

Yeah. Omi's my starter, and I caught a Litleo for...somebody who went home before I could give it to her. All the rest were my old roommates' teams. That's why I got so many.

It was like that back home too. [ He pauses ] I had a friend, when I was a boy. And one day he vanished. When I tried to ask what happened to him, I was slapped. So I didn't ask again.

...Do they miss their trainers?

Not always. Shit happens but at least it's shit you know's gonna happen, ya know? Sure, freaks disappeared sometimes, but that's 'cause most worlds are shitty. This one ain't.

[There's another pause as he considers what else might be helpful.]

[There's a brief pause while his mind wanders back, gently brushes against safely and thoroughly repressed memories, and then nopes right the heck back on out.

He shakes his head to clear it, fast and hard, like a little kid, before returning to the subject at hand.]

_{[This is the first she's heard of it... it's never been uncommon for him to go off the radar for some time alone in the woods or whatever. She hadn't thought anything of the fact that they hadn't talked for awhile...]}

Uh....all his stuff is here, if you wanted to go through it. I dunno if that's something normal people do, but back home...anybody in the family was lost, we'd all take something to remember'em by.

[Jimmy's just been sitting on the couch with Omi, not really sure what to do. Tobias has been living with him for...he can't even remember, it's been so long. Jimmy has ended up kind of thinking of him as a permanent fixture of life here.]

[He hasn't touched any of the other guy's stuff. It feels weird to. He'd been the same after losing his mother, unable to put away any of her things or anything like that. Maybe Heather can help. He isn't sure who else was close enough with Tobias to help with his things...]
