Video(ish)-- Ecruteak Inn, Birthday Bash!
[The moment the video clicked on, Angel let out a sigh. A small hand lifted, pinching the bridge of her nose, before lowering once more, settling onto the back of a new face-- a Glameow. Finally, she offered the device a thin smile.]
I had a plan to offer a sentimental message about growing older, but it seems I was preempted. [She laughed, but it came without humor.] What you heard was correct, today is my birthday.
[A pair of feelers announced the approach of 'Dora, the sylveon, who wrapped his appendages around her in a gesture of comfort.]
It also would appear that I've been here six months now. It's a lot to consider -- celebrating my first birthday on my own, six months after I broke free from my father. To be honest, it's the first time I've recognized it in almost a decade.
It's... a big deal.
[One final sigh, before a smile broke through. It was perhaps a little sad, but still genuine.]
My door will be open today, for anyone who might want to stop by. You can meet my new friend, Princess Smoosherella. [The cat mewled a greeting.] We can all get ice cream together!
[[Right here's the catch-all I've been promising! Feel free to put anything you need in here, in-person or otherwise! Angel's still at the Ecruteak in for a few days longer.]]

Nothing's been planned, Chris. Just enjoying the day at the moment. Perhaps later I will go out with my family but for now I'm enjoying my time.
I look forward to it, though you do not have to send anything.
(And I adore ice cream...)

[ Jill had told him a bit on her interactions with Jack, alongside Angel's past, but doesn't mention it. Especially when Angel admits 'breaking free' from her father, too. Still, he doesn't draw any more attention to it despite the private filter. ]
And, hey, it's something to tide you over until the three of us meet up. Including Smoosherella, haha! I just hope you're ready to try something new when we get there. And don't worry, ice cream's still on the table.

You're not wrong. I don't think he fully grasps the importance of this. I also didn't want people to think it was truly my idea. I'm... not a fan of big celebrations.[She paused, looking to the gifts left by the Talonflame earlier. A small smile spread over her face, and she reached over to grab one of them and snag a picture to send to Chris.]

[ Although Chris wasn't the type to lurk or read any comments that weren't his own, it's a little reassuring to see Angel not cut the guy any slack. Chris knew that type, manipulative and two-faced, but pushing your daughter to such ends was another thing entirely. And if push came to shove, he'd easily break the guy in half after Jill was done with him. ]
Sorry we couldn't be there to celebrate in person. Don't think me 'n Jill can say that enough, haha, but I'm glad you like 'em! How long are you planning to stay in Ecruteak?

It's alright. I am certain we will see each other soon. I am not sure how much longer we will be in Ecruteak -- the weather is improving, which means we can finally head out on our own adventure but... perhaps our paths will cross in that?
