[Cecil, for once, is not wearing any cosmetics today. In fact, beyond a black t-shirt and presumably pants, he's completely unadorned. His hairstyle has not been so simple in years. It feels strange to show himself thus, but today it's important.]

What would you guess my age to be? Just from looking, without taking anything else into account.

[Though he's aware that might be difficult for anyone who knows about his personal life.]

I'll buy whoever guesses correctly a TM from Celadon. Any TM, if that's enough to convince you to participate.

Gosh I know. My mom had a fit when she found out what I was up to when I was just fourteen. Even moreso when the ridiculous events followed and our world was under attack from different enemies and stuff.

World-threatening dangers are by far the worst, even knowing that your children is competent and willing to fight. Thankfully, they're also reasonably rare.

Yeah that's the hilarious part; we had 0 training. It's not like we didn't try new things but the previous Precure had their hands full with other stuff, or wasn't aware of our team for a while.

Nope. We were five normal girls before we came into our superpowers, just thrown into the situation with a sense of self determination and we came out on top.

It sounds worse than before but Precure rarely get a chance to train for a position.

...That sounds like it could end badly. In my world, even the most talented of children would be trained first, or only sent out to battle in emergencies and with adult supervision.

Yeah, we had none of that sadly. The thing is, Precure are chosen by being A. A girl, and B. stalwart of heart with a lot of love and creativity.

A lot of it comes instinctively, the way to fight. I think it's the protective power of a Precure that allows for such a thing to happen.

And this instinct never leads to... mishaps of the 'newly-created mountain range' sort? Protective or not, uncontrolled powers can be unpredictable.

Precure also have a magical reset button. Damage tends to repair itself as quickly as its inflicted.

Yeah, it's a phenomenon we like to call "Load Bearing Boss" in that the whole structure of damage will come collapsing down and repair itself once we defeat the cause of said damage.

Which is good because several Precure fights would have made the whole planet uninhabitable.
