Mission 004 [Video] What the Fish?! (June 10)

[As you can see in the background once the video starts, you can see that Tony Clark is still in Violet City. But he is staring at something offscreen.]

Okay... So, I should cut to the chase to why I'm here again.

[He then moves his camera to where he was staring, which reveals two Magikarps flopping about in the puddle. Yet strangely, both of them have different patterns on their scaly bodies.]

First off, are these Magikarp flopping around the ground are even normal around here?! And yes, I did take a look at how those fishes really looked like on my Pokedex!

Unless this is another one of those Team Rocket's crazy schemes, I'm smacking myself with those fishes just to wake me up from this crazy nightmare!

[yayoi and her Pokemon are gently nudging them towards a source of water. She seems to be somewhere halfway between the first town and the second.]

A very strange migration, if you ask me...

For starters, should these Magikarp suppose to swim around some pond instead of flopping around in the puddle?

They should. I don't know how they manage to stay on land without drying out, but the possibility is that they've all started coming onto land for some reason is very high.

Maybe they're transitioning between rivers.

Still, I'm just glad that the rain was very heavy earlier. Otherwise, these fish Pokemon might not able to survive without any water around here.

That's what it says in some of the books and magazines in here. But I don't know if a Magikarp that looks like a tiger is very normal...

The first time I met these loony team is that prom incident. Thankfully, they didn't get my Pokemon beforehand.

Now, when a tsunami comes ragin' through and they start rainin' down on people.... Then you'll need ta be more concerned.

Not normal exactly.... But it ain't particularly strange, either, ha.

If a handful of strange things hasn't happened here, then it ain't a year in Johto. Or Kanto, for that matter.

So in other words, this is the first time flopping Magikarps appear in puddles, right?

Maybe they're Alolan Magikarps. Or maybe that's some sort of fish fungus. You didn't try to touch them without gloves, did you?

Nope. I'm just staring at them for now.

There's a bunch of species around the Sevii Islands that look different from their mainland cousins, apparently because they're from some Alolan place. Might also be the case for these Magikarps.

This hasn't ever happened before, to my knowledge.

And, uh... please don't smack yourself with those fishes. I've heard Magikarp have really rough scales.

Well.. yeah! Sort of, anyway.

[She turns her camera away, to a bowel of water on a table. A pink Magikarp is flopping away without a care in it.]

As far as I can tell, this sort of thing is really new. No one knows for sure why the Magikarp are all different colors.
