[So this is Kanto.]

[It's actually kind of nice. Pallet Town is small and quiet but it's friendly and welcoming. And far, far away from Johto. This is good. This is what she needs. Put some distance behind her and the other region, do some adventuring, see some sights. Catch cool new Pokemon. Make a new friend. It'll be good.]

[And Cissnei seems like good people. It's not the first time that Korra's made travel plans with someone she barely knows, and it's worked out really well in the past. Why not this time? Plus it was easy to find day work. Day work Korra actually has experience with. She's been fishing her whole life, and there isn't a member of the Southern Water Tribe that doesn't know their way around a boat.]

[It's just nice to be here. Fishing, meeting people, enjoying the ocean, berry picking...even just sitting at the end of a dock and watching the water. It's peaceful. And offers time for healthy reflection before setting out to explore the region.]

[Currently, Korra's on her preferred dock, fishing pole secured beside her and her Gyarados cavorting in the waves a bit away. She's barefoot and in a black sports top and blue fisher style pants, actually relaxed for the first time in a while.]

[Maybe she ought to see about catching some new Pokemon...]

[Cissnei could tell, just from the few interactions that she and Korra had over the network, that there was something weighing very heavily on the other young woman. She wasn't going to pry, not about to make someone tell her anything when she had her own private story as well, but she was going to make sure Korra had a chance to break away from all of that.

It's what a few people she knew back home would have done and why not follow their example?

Making her way down the dock with Shuriken, her Furfrou, at her side and Squeak, her Horsea, perched on said canine's back, Cissnei grinned at the sight of the Gyarados playing out in the waves.]

Someone's enjoying themselves. [It comes out in a musing tone as she stops beside where Korra was seated, glancing to the side as Shuriken hops off the dock into the water to Squeak's absolute delight.] You seem pretty relaxed, too.

Yeah, it's nice out here!

[And fresh and new. That's important. There's no memories here. Maybe that's not the healthiest way to deal with things, but Korra has never tried to argue her dealing methods are healthy. They're at least healthier than they'd been.]

I think I needed this. I've been in Johto a long time, and...sometimes you need a change, you know? And Sentra loves it!

[She gestures to her Gyarados. The ocean is better for her than rivers and ponds.]

A change is always nice. I had a few instances like that back home.

[Even if her vacation to the beach had been partially for work, it had still been a nice change of pace. And so much better than being stuck in the city.

Out in the water, Shuriken paddles closer to Sentra, barking to alert the other of their presence just in case she doesn't see them. Squeak tries to mimic the noise but it comes out as more of a squeak--no surprise there--than anything.]

If you're enjoying this I can't wait to take you out to the Sevii Islands. It's absolutely amazing out there.

Yeah, I've done the same thing back home.

[Under worse circumstances and with a lot more not letting anyone know what was up or where she was. At least she didn't do that anymore. Or hadn't...]

I've heard all kinds of great stuff about the islands. I was gonna go, but...

[But Elsa had had personal stuff going on, and then the Asami thing had happened, and then an island vacation had been the last thing on Korra's mind.]

[Sentra takes note of the other Pokemon, lowering her massive head for a closer inspection.]

..Never got the chance?

[Cissnei can tell there's a lot more too it than just being busy but it's alright, Korra. She gets it.

She offers the other a bit more of a gentle smile, sinking down to sit on the dock beside the other young woman.]

I guess we just have to make that a priority, don't we?

[Shuriken let's out a greeting bark and maneuvers herself to turn in the water, giving Squeak a better view of the Gyarados. The little Horsea let's out an excited series of noises, bobbing about on the Furfrou's back and making a bit of a splash.

So big! So pretty!]

Yeah, something like that. Things just kept coming up.

[And she wasn't going alone. That would just be way too sad and pathetic. And lonely. So she hadn't gone. But already she's feeling better, having someone to travel with. It's weird, how much of a difference such a little thing could make.]

Yeah, guess so. Hey, summer's the perfect time, right?

[Summer vacation and all that! Not that summer meant much more than it getting hot, Korra didn't have anything resembling a job. She makes all her money battling.]

[Sentra lowers her head further, giving the comparatively minuscule Horsea a close up look. Hello, little friend.]

Definitely. I have to admit, I've never taken an actual vacation during the summer time before that didn't have some undertone of work involved. I'm looking forward to just relaxing properly for once.

[And having company would definitely be a nice change of pace. Cissnei didn't mind traveling alone. Most of her assignments back home had been her and no one else.

But this place...it was nice to experience with someone else.

Squeak looks absolutely delighted at the attention, bopping about and waving it's fins in delight. Hello hello!

The little thing is so excited, in fact, that he slips off Shuriken's back with a squeal. The Furfrou doesn't react with the same urgency she might have when the baby first hatched but does paddle around to keep a close eye on the little one as Squeak attempts to swim closer to Sentra.

Look see! He can swim good too!]

Really? I mean, not that I've taken a ton or anything....

[Just one or two. Life back home didn't leave that much time for it. But just relaxing does sound good. Maybe catch some exotic island Pokemon. She's heard about the white vulpix, maybe Kaede would feel better if she had another little spirit fox friend.]

[Sentra lowers her head and stretches out her long body, swimming gently alongside the Horsea so her movements won't push the little Pokemon further away from her.]

[Korra had done well to name her after the gentle spirit of the oceans from her people's legends.]

My job kept me rather busy back home. If it wasn't one thing it was another.

[Wars with other countries, digging up dirt on politicians, assassinations...a lot of questionable things that didn't really give room for vacations.

But that was in the past.]

This place seems as good as any for trying as many new things as possible.

[Squeak was delighted to have another swimming body, twilling at Shuriken who let's out a content huff of a bark. The little Horsea drifts closer to Sentra, trying to pick his speed up to get closer to her head.]

Ha, I know how that goes. But you're right, there's a bunch of stuff to do here. I try and look at it like a really, really long vacation.

[That she hadn't asked for. And wasn't sure she wanted. But if she's stuck here, she can try and make the most of it. At least for a while. The home sickness and missing people from home always creeps back in.]

[Sentra tries to slow her speed to let the Horsea catch up to the front of her. She starts to make a lazy (as lazy as a Gyarados can manage) circle.]

I think it'll be good for both of us to just experience it all with that sort of mind set. A vacation, I mean.

[The last time she'd been through here she'd honestly been in such a hurry to figure things out that she hadn't really experienced a lot of what the place had to offer.

It was going to be different this time.

Squeak manages to follow along with the lazy circles the other is making, squeaking and twilling happily as Shuriken because look mom! He's doing it!!]

I think you're right. That's a lot better than living alone in the woods...

[Which was what Korra was doing. But she's done sulking and being frustrated. She can't do anything, and much as she hates that, there's nothing she can do but accept it. She can practically hear Tenzin in her head...]

We should grab one of those brochures they have, you know, the ones for tourists.

[Watching the Pokemon play out in the ocean, Korra really thinks this was the right call.]

[Now that has Cissnei giggling, the red head lifting a hand so she can tap a finger to her lips.]

If we do that, we need gaudy sunglasses and giant hats to go with it. Really help the tourist look along.

[She glances at Korra and grins now.]

We'd both need to carry a shoulder bag with a Pokemon in it too.

[Oh this was going to be fun.]

Ha! Yeah, we should. Just go all out. Oh, oh, one of us needs one of those giant cameras on a strap...that goes around the neck?

[She's laughing openly, imagining it. She knows exactly the sort of tourist look Cissnei's talking about.]

Only if it's one of the cameras that takes the instant pictures. That just seems extremely appropriate for a proper tourist.

[Just you wait, Korra. This was happening. Hats and cheesy cameras for all.]
