[Open to the inside of Shadowmaru's coastal cabin. The weather outside the big bay windows is a mix of rain and snow - which a Rockruff and Electrike are watching excitedly.]

[Shadowmaru himself is seated on a little sofa, in a nice fluffy robe, with his hair up, looking pensive.]

[... it's a very calculated pose, okay, he knows what he's doing.]

It's come to my attention that higher level pokemon may be advisable to have. Given how unpredictable things can be here.

However, I... must admit. The idea of seeking out random individuals to set my companions on feels - I'm not sure how I feel about it. So I have come to the network to see if anyone would like to do battle in the future.

Uh....

[Korra is grinning like she's trying to hold in laughter. She's on the beach by her little house, but not much of the background is visible behind her.]

I think my Pikachu have started a really cute, really weird gang.

[She moves the gear to show the beach behind her. There are her two (still exceptionally chubby) Pikachu. And her Snubull. And her Alolan Meowth. They're all wearing at least one, completely random, article of clothing. The Snubull has a neon green and yellow baseball cap. One of the Pikachu is wearing a pair of blue seashell patterned swimtrunks...only she has her front arms through the leg holes like it was a jacket. The other has draped a pink beach coverup around him like a cloak. The Meowth has a pineapple themed tie and a pair of children's bright red rain boots on.

They're grouped together under a handmade sign reading 'DANGER - UNNATTENDED FOOD WILL BE STOLEN BY POKEMON'. They have the air of a group of teenagers loitering in front of a gas station.]

Beware of the beach menaces if you're around the islands. You might get hassled for popsicles by a pack of furry fashion disasters!

I think their notoriety has gone to their heads....

So, we've all figured out prom is just about here. And even though it's always different, there's always the big dance.

So I was wondering if anybody else was looking for a friend-date for it. I just think it's fun to go with somebody, and I think it's dumb that should be limited to romantic dates. It's just a good time to get all dressed up and hang out at a fancy place together and dance and everything. And have a guaranteed dance partner!

And I do mean friend-date. I am not looking for anything. Just a partner in fun for the big party.

Hell, if a bunch of us are in the same boat, we can just make a group of it!

So...right now Mira and I were traveling on Route 45. We're still some time out, but eventually it loops back around, and we'll pretty much be close to where we started, right?

We were talking about what we wanted to do after that, and...we're thinking about maybe finding a place to live first? Neither of us have started the gym challenges yet, but I think I'd prefer to have a more permanent place to stay first before doing that, just so we have somewhere to go back to in between taking on the gyms, y'know?

But I'm not entirely sure how to go about...getting a house? It was never really a problem back where we came from, but I know things are pretty different here. So maybe if anyone has any advice for places that are affordable or anything? That'd be a big help.

H-Hi, um...for those that don't know me, my name is...Fluttershy. And I, um... [ She hesitates, releasing a shaky breath. It's one thing to be replying to others' posts, but the thought of people seeing hers is starting to make her feel pretty nervous. ] Oh gosh, sorry...I'm really bad at this.

[ Beside her is her Audino, Allegra, who gently pats her shoulder and mimes taking a breath in and out, and does it a few more times before Fluttershy starts to copy her, shaky at first but eventually she seems a bit calmer. ]

R-Right...okay, sorry. Um...so first I just wanted to let my friends know that I'm planning to head to the the Sevii Islands pretty soon. I've been traveling around Johto for a while now, but now that I'm in Cianwood City I think this is the last place I had to visit here. And my plan was always to work at the Daycare on Island Four so after I'm done here that's where I'll be heading. Though I suppose I will need to find a...place to live.

[ ...well, she'll worry about that when she gets there. ]

A-Anyway, I just...wanted to let people know. I can still come back to visit here, of course, but that's...just where I'll be settling.

The second thing is, um...so I forget how many people I've told, and I figure it couldn't hurt to mention it. But back home, I have some, uh, magic that let's me to communicate with animals, and when I came here it let me talk to and understand Pokemon as well. So if anyone is maybe having trouble understanding their Pokemon, I'd be happy to help out.

I guess I should have mentioned that before deciding to move to the islands. But I can still talk over the network. As long as I can hear them, I'll be able to understand. I mean, if anyone wants, that is.

...Okay, um...that's it, I suppose.

[ She hesitates a moment, and then the feed just ends. ]

Oh, you want to meet people, huh? [Rapunzel gestures to the Pokemon.] Hello. This is Audra, and I'm Rapunzel. I haven't been here very long, and honestly? This is all still pretty confusing to me. Things are so different from back home...

[Her smile falters for just a moment.]

But I'm starting to figure it out. As new as this all is, this place has so much to see and that's exciting! I'm in a place called Cherrygrove right now, helping at the Pokemon Center, but we're going to move on to the next town soon. So, before we do, I was wondering if there are any places to look out for on the way! [A bit of mumbling here, as she goes on:] I feel like I already maybe missed things getting here, but I was pretty shocked...

So...obviously the islands are a pretty popular place right now.

[It looks like Korra is broadcasting from her little beach house, part of the main house area can be seen behind her. But it sounds...loud, despite only a sleepy Arcanine visible in the background.]

Really popular, actually.

So popular there's people camping in my front yard.

[The gear turns and...yup, a ways down from Korra's front door are three tents, a fire ring, a cooler and some beach chairs.]

I'm not sure if they realize it's my front yard, but there's a lot of beach camping going on right now and my front yard happens to be the beach. I'm not sure if I should tell them to move, charge them for it, or just feel mildly bad that my two Pikachu are totally going to steal their cooler the first chance they get.

They've been eyeing it all morning.

Hi everybody, it's Korra, your friendly local lifeguard and wilderness ranger!

[Currently back on the islands, her little blue beach house is visible in the background.]

Since it's coming to that time of year when massive hordes of tourists descend on the islands, I've been working on my educational speeches for visitors on vacation. And I figured I'd try it out here first! So here goes.

[A clearing of her throat.]

Welcome to the island, I'd like to remind everybody of things you should not do while visiting the shores and forests of Sevii.

Don't throw rocks at Pokemon. Or trash. Or food that's not for Pokemon. Absolutely don't throw any glowsticks or bottles of alcohol. Just don't throw anything but pokeballs in the places it's allowed to catch Pokemon.

Don't smoke inside dead hollowed out trees. That's how you set yourself on fire.

If something is steaming, don't touch it. That means it's hot. Especially if it's water. Did you know people can boil up just like a potato? Not a fun experience.

Don't try and ride random wild Pokemon. Or put fun props on them.

Again, I can't stress this enough, do not throw rocks at wild Pokemon.

Don't wander off the trails alone, there are trails for a reason.

Don't skinny dip at public beaches.

If you need the bathroom...use a bathroom. Not the beach.

Do. Not. Throw rocks. At. Pokemon.

[Korra takes a deep breath after getting that out.]

So that's my speech this year for tourists, I think I covered everything...

So this might sound a little bit weird, but....

Does anyone want to go on a treasure hunt?

[Korra is broadcasting from the beach - the one outside her home, specifically - and looks to have settled right back into island life.]

I found an old treasure map during prom, when I was poking around the spooky parts of the castle. And I compared it to some actual maps and...I'm pretty sure it's the real deal. There's an X marks the spot and everything.

I have no idea if it's guarded or hidden or booby trapped or anything, but that's half the fun. And I figure for one thing, it's a lot more fun to go on an treasure hunt with other people and two...I might need help getting to it.

So who's up for some good old fashioned adventure?

After arriving in Cerulean City and riding in one of a fleet of Cerulean Cape Shuckle Shuttle buses for an hour or so, the trees break and the road snakes along sea cliffs. In the distance, all can see a grand building rising up into sight, and excitement bubbles up within each and every heart as this year's mysterious, grandiose Prom location draws ever closer...

[Maya is standing next to a shiny!Boldore. She's a bit large but still. Just hanging out there while Maya brings the gear to focus.]

So, has anyone run into a pokemon here that looks a lot like a creature from their world? I understand a few look like various types of animals. I mean they look enough like the specific creature that you're not sure if they brought a version here and somehow it's the middle stage of a pokemon evolution?

Because this Boldore looks disturbingly like a Crystalisk.

[Said creature is just now just crunching snow in the background and luckily misses the next part.]

Hopefully people in this world aren't trying to harvest the crystals on it.

[Korra looks flushed and disheveled and a bit out of breath when she comes on the network, and there's a fresh bruise on her cheek. She's bundled up and outside somewhere, but despite her appearance she's grinning.]

Hey, so who around here plays hockey? Because this sport is great!

Oh, I'm in Goldenrod by the way. I'll probably be here through winter. I've actually started to miss the snow and cold a little bit.

Plus...Botan's here, so...

But if anybody plays hockey or wants to, you should come play with me. Even my newest little guy is enjoying it! Well...he's enjoying biting the puck anyway...

He really likes to bite things.

[Korra shifts the gear and there, at the edge of the ice, is a Chewtle gnawing enthusiastically on a hockey puck.]

Why on earth would I want so many of these creatures if I have no desire to fight with them?

[Behind the Deerling, his Venipede looks into the camera like on the Office. Come on, buddy, some of them love fighting. Stop denying them.]

Not only this, but I have discovered another egg in my care as well! Why do they keep coming?

Hey everybody!

[The view behind Korra is a familiar one, that beach that her little wooden shack house sits above.]

I figured we could all use a laugh right about now, so I thought I'd show you all what me and Princess Stompsalot have been up to. Turns out she's a very talented giant dinosaur!

READY?

[The last word is shouted over Korra's shoulder as she looks at something off screen. She waits a few minutes, grinning, and then turns the gear to show the ocean itself. And...a Tyrantrum on what can only be a custom made surfboard. It looks more like a flat boat than anything, but Princess is standing with her broad clawed feet apart and her tiny arms waving at her sides. It's awkward looking, but somehow the bulky Pokemon is keeping her wobbling balance.]

Look at her go! I made her the board myself!

Blissey produces eggs. Miltank produces milk. You can get wool from Mareep, honey from Combee, bananas from Tropius. Any Water-type can serve as a source of water as long as you boil it, and any Fire-type can produce the flames for that. And there's all the Pokémon that can help you cut tree, or dig holes in a mountain.

This list is probably missing plenty of options and helpful species still.

So, where are the few but hardcore survivalists who choose to live off the grid? Wouldn't this world be perfect for that kind of personality?

So hey...

Did anybody lose an over-sized armchair?

In the ocean?

Because one washed up on shore today and I think it's the weirdest thing I've ever found washed up.

[Korra turns the gear and that sure is a very soggy and sandy armchair, half on it's side, right on the wet part of the beach. It's hard to tell what color it is aside from 'dark', and stuffing is oozing out. That is one sorry chair.]

I'm pretty sure this falls under my domain, and I really don't know the proper disposal protocol for chairs the sea doesn't want anymore. I'm thinking burn it when it's dry? I know Iquniq is voting for that idea.

[The stocky Arcanine does look preeeettttty eager to set the wreckage ablaze.]
