I had been told that our powers were obsolete in this place but I can't help but wonder if this is some sort of spell gone wrong?

[Newt's currently looking a bit miffed as he sits on what looks like a white cushion but a moment later the 'gear moves as Queenie steps back--those are definitely pink and tan fingers around the edges of the 'gear--and the scenery is all visible.

That's definitely a flower of some sort that he's sitting on. And that's definitely a Flabébé behind him looking thoroughly amused. Another one appears, twirling about on her flower behind them, clearly just as amused as her friend.

Yep. Newt's about four inches tall at the moment. No wonder his voice sounds off.]

Is anyone else experiencing this sort of, ah, mishap?

This..is the first time we've all been shrunk then? These oddities don't repeat themselves then?

It's the first time it's happened in the years I've been here. But we have been turned into half Pokemon, small children, snow sculptures have come to life...all sorts of things really.

We may not have powers, but the Pokemon still do. Everyone tends to chalk it up to them.

Mmhmm. Many of us found ourselves hybrids. It was...oh god, you'll forgive me if I don't feel like detailing the whole story, it's a long one. But strange wild Pokemon started appearing and attacking people. Anyone attacked soon found themselves physically altered.

I was covered in fur and had Espurr ears.

So it was..something of a plague? Spread by these strange Pokemon?

[That doesn't sound fun. At all.]

It wore off though--I mean, obviously it did or else I suppose you'd still have Espurr ears.

Something like that.

It was resolved. Things usually are. Sometimes on their own, sometimes with some help.

You're quite new, aren't you?

That's good--that it was resolved. Wouldn't want to be stuck like that for an extended period I don't think.

[Newt smiled sheepishly, glancing off to the side.]

It's rather obvious, isn't it?

I've yet to encounter any upset that's permanent.

Ah, yes. I've only used it a few times, I'll admit. Been rather busy traveling and studying the Pokemon I've encountered.

Eventually they seem somewhat normal.

Yes, very much so. Back home I am what we call a Magizoologist. I study and document magical creatures. Care for them as well, I should admit. Make sure they're thriving and taking them in until a better habitat can be found in the meantime.

That it does. I have never been to a place quite like this before and I am very intrigued to learn as much as I can.

None of us have, this place is unlike any other. It offers...many opportunities.

It's so strange, an usually stuff like this doesn't happen very often, but now it seems like it's all the time. [Or that's how it feels to her.] Usually, things like this only last for a couple day-Wah!

[Aaaaand she goes down in a puddle of slobber. Again.]

[On his end, Newt winces a bit.]

Do be careful..it sounds like you're having a much harder time than I am, Miss.
