[  There's soft music playing as a Riolu and a Rockruff come into vision on your screens today, quickly setting up the camera and propping the gear up so it could watch... something. The pair rush over to a waiting group; a Spewpa, Starly and Noibat are gathered at the base of a large rock. The owner of these Pokemon soon becomes clear as Ash comes into view, stepping up the rock at a steady pace, holding a beige bundle of fur to chest. He's being very careful and clearly trying to look serious, even if he can't hide a big grin. The Pokemon below lean forward eagerly, watching. 

As Ash reaches the top, he suddenly thrusts his arms outward, holding the ball of fur aloft! It's a Litleo, who looks entirely bemused by this performance. Below, the Pokemon cheer as the music swells, stomping and jumping and flapping their wings! ]

IT'S THE CIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIFE!

[ So, Ash is a massive nerd. He got hold of the music from Johto's own film, The Pyroar King 8D ]

This guy is legitimately the silliest man Anthy has ever seen in her life - and she has both lived a very long time and met many men, even though she'd admit that 99.9% of the men she'd met were terrible people. So she doesn't feel too awkward openly laughing in response on the network, her eyes squeezed closed with mirth, shoulders shaking, and a hand over her mouth.]

[ When Ash has put down his newly captured Litleo, he hears Anthy laughing from the gear. He grins when he sees her ]

Hey! Look, when else could I re-enact that scene ever? [ But he's not insulted or ashamed or anything like that. He was having fun! If anything he was clearly taking the mick, given the big, most clearly 'not-really pouting' pout he could. Although he soon cracked and laughed a little at himself. ]

No - no, it's w-wonderful! [She's still stuck in the giggles, spurred on by his own laughter.] I've never seen anything like it before!

You've never seen someone do that? Most people I saw doing it did it with their pet cats but she's a lion Pokemon, so it's even better!

[ he picks up the cub again and shows her the screen and Anthy! ] This is Anthy! She's our friend. And Anthy, this is Mufusa! ...she's a girl but I couldn't remember the name of Simba's mum, and everyone uses Nala. [ The Litleo meows and tries to face Ash. When he does turn her around, she paps him in the face. No claws out though, just a hard pap on the nose. ]

[Uh-oh, the giggles start up stronger now. What funny things cats are! She should catch one for Ash, perhaps, since he seems to like them.]

Nice to meet you, Mufusa! Be a good lion, okay?

[ Mufusa gave a rumbling purr in response to Anthy. She is a good lion. She's asserting herself to this dumbass. Ash just smiled and put her down, petting her tiny mane. ]

She'll be great, I can tell. Have you come across any of these yet? Apparently they've been turning up everywhere.

I've seen them running around the city. I don't think they're supposed to be doing that.

[Some guy had to try and move a lazy Pyroar out of the way of his shop's door, it was funny.]

[ Ash shrugged ] I ain't gonna be upset about it. It's not like I always do what I'm meant to. And if they hadn't done that, I wouldn't have met Mufusa here. [ Who is playfully trying to catch and nom on his hand. Ash doesn't mind at all, even when she nicks him. ] Ah-

[She's smiling, though - cats are always a bit capricious.]

I guess it is a good thing. And it can't last forever.

...We're not going to get a follow-up video filled with blood, claw marks and screams upon screams, are we?

[How long is that Litleo going to stay bemused, he wonders.]

Nah! I ain't gonna catch more and make them re-enact the whole movie. [ And he had caught this one before making the video, so her bemusement is mostly at 'What the fuck is this guy doing with me' over 'Who the fuck is this guy and where are my parents'. ]

Besides, this here is Mufusa! And she's a girl, the girls all get out fine.

That's what I once thought about my own girls, too, and then a few almost lost their eyes.

[The eye-clawing part should have started earlier, though, so maybe this is safe after all?]

The Lion King! But they call it the Pyroar King here, apparently? [ Weird man. ]

..Wait, lost their eyes? That doesn't happen in the movie. [ They seem to be talking about two different things. ]

Well, it might not happen in the movie, but it can happen when Pokémon with sharp and pointy claws get annoyed and decide to test them out in their new team's faces. Just saying.

...Mufusa, are you gonna try and claw my eyes out? Cos, I kinda need them. And if you really don't wanna be around, I'll just let you go. [ Ash turned the Litleo to face him, genuinely asking her. Hey, if they could understand attack names then they could understand him talking to them, right? Mufusa 'meows' at him, then sticks out a paw and plants it firmly on his mouth. No claws out though. ]

[The lack of claws is a good sign! Along with, you know, the lack of blood and screaming.]

Looks like your eyes will be fine for now. If you have any other movie you want to imitate, though, do them now. It won't be so easy in a few weeks.

Nah, I did this cos I only just got her and apparently there's tons of lions everywhere. I don't know many other stories with lions in them.

Don't worry, I've already been told all the Pokemon I catch are gonna be friends, so I gotta treat them right. I don't want them to be unhappy just being around me. That would suck.

I'm introducing her to my team! And she's a lion, I had to do the whole 'Lion King' opening thing.

[ And now he's holding to cub up to the camera and making her 'wave' her paw. The Litleo just tilts her up to give him a look. Yes, her trainer is ridiculous. She's quickly learning this. ]

The Lion King! It's about this lion who's born as next in line to rule the pride, but his uncle kills his dad and makes him think it's his fault, so he runs away into exile. But his uncle runs shit into the ground and is an arsehole, so his old friend from when he was a cub goes looking for help and finds him! So then he's gotta face his birthright and go back to challenge his uncle to take his place as king!

I named her Mufusa, after the dad, cos I couldn't remember the name of the mum. And Mufusa is really wise and a great dad to Simba. That's the main lion the story's about.

[ Thankfully he puts Mufusa down in his lap now. Although the Litleo decides to try and grab his hand, little claws out. ] Ow-!

Uh... huh. [The mage looked... bored throughout the entire description -- none of it making much sense. None of this seemed like what animals would do.]

[He did laugh at the bite though. At least someone was doing something interesting.]

She's a delightful creature, I think.

Look, the Lion King is an animated classic. [ He sees that bored look and fuck you the Lion King's great. ]

Oh yeah she's lovely. When she ain't got her claws out. [ He picks her up and gives her a look. Rude. She responded by placing both front paws on his face. Then her back paws. He puts her down, smiling anyway.He says as the Riolu and Rockruff both leap at the back of his head with cheerful cries. Mufusa wisely gets out the way. ]

I am afraid I don't know anything animated, and therefore cannot judge as to whether or not it's a classic. [A bored shrug.]

[Followed, of course, by a rather sinister smile as the Pokemon approached. He remained silent, content to watch the approach. It would be far more entertaining if he simply stayed quiet and watched the show.]

[ Ash bent forward with the force of their pounces but grinned an drolled over, beginning to horse around with them. It was exactly like watching a kid play with their pet dogs. Complete with Ash melodramatically 'dying'. Although they didn't fall for it and laughed at him, with Mufusa reappearing to plant her paw in his face again. He cracked a grin and remembered. Oh RIGHT he was talking to someone oops ]
